I know that you just spent all this time going through this Jon, but is there any chance you could post a quick list of the Pokemon you've kept in for any of us wishing to create the perfect Pokemon ROM for you?
After watching this a year after its release, I have come up with a Great Big Idea™: Let's have Jon play through a Pokemon game, using only the Pokemon he has on his list. He can fill his first six with anything, but as soon as he encounters a Pokemon on his list, if he has an "illegal" Pokemon, he must release it and use the legal one. Disclaimer - I don't play Pokemon, and have no idea how feasible this actually is. I just think it makes sense for a series.
I really like this idea. That would be great fun. But, I don't think he should be allowed to catch any of his illegal pokemon. Only the ones left on his list, several of a kind if necessary. (Yes, I am a bit salty about so many of my favourites being cut lol.)
Disclaimer: not all the way through the video yet, not sure if he comes back to these points. Removing second stage evolutions in starters for redundancy in design, but not removing Primeape? Huh. Also I seem to remember there being a 5th gen Pokemon that'd make a good second stage for Psyduck, but I never managed to finish Black, so I might be remembering wrong. Psyduck also has a pretty sad back story, btw.

I get the feeling Jon's Pokémon knowledge is quite outdated as Dragonite’s usability did drop quite a bit during the 2nd and 3rd gen but since then it has been a solid and reliable Pokémon, I'm not a big fan of Draonite and Garchomp (my dragon of choice)especially with it’s mega is arguably a better Pokémon but to claim Dragonite to not very good is just so wrong. And of course Tallonflame isn’t any good that’s why it’s in OU tier on Smogon. I did see that a lot when Jon would make comments about the Pokémon’s capability they were often not that accurate like Mawile, Mega-Mawile is a risky but very useful Pokémon thanks to it’s ability huge power and defensive Fairy/Steal typing, as long as you keep it away from ground and fire types Mega-Mawile will do a *lot* of damage and can one hit KO even Legendary like Rayquaza and cripple Mega-Rayquaza with one hit and because Mega-Mawile has this potential its intimidating what leads to easy to predict switches that gives you a free Sword Dance or your own free switch. In the right hands mega Mawile can be very destructive.
+Name? I dont care. And neither does anyone else, i think most of this video is based on slightly outdated information but he mostly bases all of his opions on looks not skills, i mean with certain pokemon he definetley looked at their stats, but i think its mostly based off looks
For some odd reason this is suprisingly entertaining. And I'm not even the biggest Pokemon fan (only played the first generation as a kid) Well done Jon
I haven't played a Pokemon game since Yellow on the gameboy colour, yet I just listened to a guy talk about Pokemon for an hour and forty minutes. Well, if that isn't a sign you're doing something right, I don't know what is
"Talonflame was not that good" Erm, excuse me, you were going pretty well but that one just shows how much you didn't play Pokemon X/Y, a Talonflame with hidden ability was a nuclear missile coming your way, it was terrifying, most people in the community agreed it was a ridiculous strong pokemon... Also Dragalge is based on a Sea Dragon, funny you seemed to not know that: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leafy_seadragon

not Digimon enough, needs more Saving of the Digital world. But no seriously, Enjoyed this xD
+DDLMXD Hmm, interesting. Well, I suppose that Digimon are the champions...
+Many A True Nerd 200k digimon special?
Digimon is shit
It has really shit haikus
Unlike fucking me
CONGRATS Jon, I know you'll be a HUGE UA-camr one day soon. You are my favorite UA-camr. Congrats Jon!
"Talonflame wasn't that good". Really Jon? Really? It could sweep entire teams.
also dragonite, weakness policy+ multiscale and a DD and things were pretty much over
I get the feeling Jon's Pokémon knowledge is quite outdated
as Dragonite’s usability did drop quite a bit during the 2nd and 3rd gen but
since then it has been a solid and reliable Pokémon, I'm not a big fan of
Draonite and Garchomp (my dragon of choice)especially with it’s mega is arguably
a better Pokémon but to claim Dragonite to not very good is just so wrong.
And of course Tallonflame isn’t any good that’s why it’s in OU tier on Smogon.
I did see that a lot when Jon would make comments about the Pokémon’s capability
they were often not that accurate like Mawile, Mega-Mawile is a risky but very useful
Pokémon thanks to it’s ability huge power and defensive Fairy/Steal typing, as
long as you keep it away from ground and fire types Mega-Mawile will do a *lot*
of damage and can one hit KO even Legendary like Rayquaza and cripple Mega-Rayquaza
with one hit and because Mega-Mawile has this potential its intimidating what
leads to easy to predict switches that gives you a free Sword Dance or your own
free switch.
6 level 1 Ratatas could beet any team of 6 level 100 pokemon.
beat
For some odd reason this is suprisingly entertaining.
And I'm not even the biggest Pokemon fan (only played the first generation as a kid)
Well done Jon
I haven't played a Pokemon game since Yellow on the gameboy colour, yet I just listened to a guy talk about Pokemon for an hour and forty minutes.
Well, if that isn't a sign you're doing something right, I don't know what is
Nice video MATN, can't believe you are already at 150k subscribers! Keep up the good work, can't wait to see what else you have in store!
Well, he also kicked Sylveon out so that should have been obvious.
Hugo Sousa so much passive aggressiveness.
Jon, I'm simply relieved at the fact you spared Totodile, which is my most favourite Pokémon ever. XD
Mfw Vaporeon is delete for Glaceon.
- Cuts Braixen
- Keeps Delphox
Thank you, thank you so much I actually love you for this. Delphox is da bess
Wait, Magnemite and Magneton don't have Levitate, Jon.
+Monsterstalker They certainly did at one point - I'm almost certain that was their Gen 3 ability. Has it been replaced with magnet pull or something more recently?
+Many A True Nerd Never had levitate. Sorry.
+Many A True Nerd yezzir magnet pull and sturdy
+Chris Adams 3rd or 4th gen had levitate.
+Many A True Nerd Why are you keeping Diglett and Digtrio around when you are getting rid of Magnemite and Magneton? They're all part of the Let'sAddTheSamePokemonTogetherToMakeANewOne series of pokemon.
Your welcome Jon. You deserve like way more subs and I hope you get way bigger than you are now! Good luck!
I seem to be the only one who doesn't like oshowatt. (Is that how you spell it?.)
+Courier Nope, I don't like him either.
Wow I am honestly surprised Many A True Nerd did not already have more subscribers. Congratulations! Keep on going mate!
