I am so elated that another person recognizes the brilliance of Zombie’s Halloween 2. This movie is a masterpiece. The cinematography, the grainy film, the score…I can go on and on. This film will be revered in 20 years like The Shining is now. I love this movie. Great list. Good video.

One thing I love about watching these Ranking videos for this series is that I don’t think I’ve heard two many that are exactly alike. The only similarities seemingly from everyone is that Carpenter’s original is number one, but that’s not necessarily a hot take lol.

Watch Halloween (1978) then Halloween (2018) and leave it there
I admit these movies are incredibly subjective. My ranking is based on enjoyment and nostalgia. The only film in the new trilogy I really like is Halloween 2018, yet I love Halloween 4-6. I admit Halloween 5 & 6 are a mess but I love them.
Even if people love Ends, Kills or Resurrection I have no beef. I personally think that they stink but that’s just me. I grew up with H4-6 & H20 (Halloween 4 being the first horror movie I ever saw) so there’s a huge amount of nostalgia. I love Jason Goes to Hell & Freddy’s Dead too because of a huge amount of nostalgia being that those are the ones that came out in those magical first years of my horror fandom.
I agree micheal, the world would be boring if we all had the same opinion and out taste and experience all factor 😉

You have kills and ends higher than 2018. Interesting. Looking forward to hearing why. One factor could be that you like a developing story whereas I often like origin stories or first chapters better. I feel it’s much harder to end something well than to start well. It’s one of the reasons why I rate Halloween 20 years later higher than Halloween Ends. I think the ending for 20 years later is a much more satisfying ending for the character of Laurie strode than in Halloween ends. I am not a fan of trying to put some sort of social commentary or political opinion inside of a horror film. I go to these things to be entertained and to escape reality and to root for good guys over bad guys and to be in suspense. I do not go to hear someone’s political views and I don’t care to hear them in this context.
Rachel is one of my all time fav final girl!

Ends is bottom of the bucket. Resurrection is the stained old paper towels on top of the smelly old barbecue sauce that is Halloween Ends. I can’t get through either of those. They both are terrible.
blud puts RZH2 in 3# but says halloween kills is bad and puts it at 12# and hates it more then resurrection

Halloween franchise is my 2nd favorite horror movie franchise. Here my list its my personal list so don't hate me 13 is rob zombie halloween 2 i hate this movie 12 halloween 5 revenge of michael Meyers the thorn story plot i didn't like the character tina was so annoying forgettable characters except for jamie and dr loomis 11 halloween 6 curse of michael Meyers i watch both theatrical cut and directors cut my feelings is same for halloween 5 only characters i remember is dr loomis and tommy paul rudd. 10 halloween ends i didn't like it the left alot unanswered questions 9 halloween resurrection i have a love and hate relationship with this movie love ideas they were trying to accomplish in the movie but hate it the execution but more i re-watch it more fun i have watching it its a bad halloween movie 8 rob zombie halloween i like it kills were awesome this michael is the scariest michael yet story line not so much 7 halloween 2018 i like it but it ruined my favorite halloween movie lol but i still enjoyed the movie 6 halloween kills i had fun watching this movie kills were awesome got frustrated with the story plot sometimes 5 Halloween 3 season of the witch i love this movie for no Michael Myers. 4 halloween h20 this my favorite Laurie character in the entire franchise i love this movie even michael Meyers mask was terrible 3 im going to get hate for this one is 1978 halloween my top 3 halloween movies i watch it at least once every 2 months iconic classic 2 halloween the return of michael Meyers i love everything in this movie from dr loomis l love jamie and Rachel but michael Meyers mask was bad lol 1 my will forever be my favorite halloween movie of all time it never change is halloween 2 one of the best horror sequels of all time but one of the best endings to halloween movie. I'm surprised you like the beginning of Rob Zombie's Halloween. For me personally it retcons the original movies. Michael is supposed to simply be an evil seed with no real explanation why. In Zombie's version it's like "well he's evil because his dad was a piece of shit and his mom a whore".
I completely get you! For me I didn't mind it reconing the original becouse it's a remake, so the change up didn't bother me as if it was a sequal or prequel. I 100% understand why people don't like it though.
