Unpopular opinion here, honestly thought part 5 was the best film in the Halloween Franchise. Don Shanks I felt did a hell of a job playing The Shape. As far as the new trilogy goes if people look at it through the lense that we're supposed to (metaphorically), I think it would be appericated more .

I always had h2 as my #2 in the past but h4 and h2018 are really starting to grow on me. I totally get the RZ Halloween being last, definitely not for everyone. Love a good original ranking! Thanks for watching
None of the Universal Monster Films is sacrilegious. Those are Halloween season mainstays. Also, TCM is not a “Halloween season” type of horror Film, but neither is Midsommar, so it missing off this list, again, is sacrilegious. Hammer Horror entires should have at least honorable mentioned.

It has great suspense. There's only one problem, it's bloody. #1 Halloween (1978) 10/10 Perfect Slasher.

Nice personal ranking. I know everyone's different and that's a good thing. I like the new trilogy a great deal. This franchise has BIG hits and misses, some I adore, some I don't like and one of them TOPS my top 10 list of worst horror ever made...lol SO it's an interesting franchise for sure.

Even if you want to say that Michael didn’t get his eyes shot out you can’t say his body wasn’t burnt to a cinder. The makers of Halloween 4 and H20 just want you to pretend that didn’t happen. What I like the most about these rankings is that no 2 rankings are the same because yours and mine are almost completely different and that's ok with me because we are all entitled to our own opinion
If you love the classic motif...of the Bogeyman stalking a group of prospective victims, and Loomis stalking HIM...and all set against the backdrop of an idyllic Harvest Season in the Heartland...there's really NOT that many movies to choose from. 1, 2, 4, and 5....that's the series. 1, 2, and 5 are masterpieces...each brilliant, but each in slightly different ways. 4 is also outstanding.
I agree with most of your ranking, especially the bottom ones. I really dont understand, why people praise Ends and dont like Resurection. Both movies treat the character of Myers with no respect. The worst sin you can comitt in a horror movie!

@@themovieranker For Halloween Ends I hated the fact that there was focusing way too much on Corey in what of was supposed to be the Final chapter of a trilogy and the final confrontation between Michael and Laurie was rushed as fuck if Halloween Ends was what it was Marketed as the final confrontation between Michael and Laurie and Michael wasn’t stuck in a soar for most of the movie then I probably was have liked it and I would have like the Corey storyline if it had been down in anthology timeline or a different movie all together.

First off, 2018 was the best of the 3. Secondly, Corey’s character would have been much more acceptable had they introduced him sooner . Introduce him in 2018 or Kills and I think is fans would be more accepting, but to do it in the last film shows a lack of devotion to the franchise and more of a liking to their own take on Michael and what they were “trying” to tell.
Untuil i saw Pulp Fiction late last year Halloween had been my favourite movie for about 20 years, and as a kid Halloween 3 was my favourite. 1 love 12 of the movies, at least to some extent, i dislike 1. The top 6 in my rankings are in my 100 favourite movies. I bought Halloween Ends as soon as it was released on Amazon movies, and wasn't a fan. It took about 18 months to bring myself to watch it again, i had the opposite experience to you on second watch and really loved it. I know everyone has a different opinion, which is great or it'd be a boring world if we all thought alike, like robots.
Rob Zombie trying to add layers to Michael Michaels was a pretty bad idea. Think about it. michael myers is nothing but the personification of evil. He works without a backstory, and trying to humanize him would only clash with his pyschotic nature. It reminds me of The joker movie. They wanted to make a character study movie with the joker while simultaneously still calling him the joker, which doesn't make sense given that he is similar to michael myers in the sense that he wouldn't be himself if he had added character depth, but I guess studios have to cash in on these characters names.
If I had to rank the latest trilogy I would have to say H18 is by Fay the best.Halloween Kills is brutal and gorey but the characters in it piss me off(EVIL DIES TONIGHT) WTF.Halloween Ends is probably the better made film but it’s not how it should have ended.
I can easily see why u think H5 is the worst in the series but Ends clearly the worst in the series it makes the most mistakes out of the entire series basically Resurrection, RZ H2, H5, & H6 all in one movie.

Not counting Rob zombie's Halloweens the only part i like on his was when Michael was young however i hate the hair but back to real Halloween movie the only four I will never watc are 3 ends H2O and part 8 however if i had to pick one to watch then part 8 but I hate H2O . In fact out of all the halloweens counting even Rob's Halloween movies the only ones I like and will watch are 1 2 4 5 and 6 Halloween 2018 and kills
Was my fav as a teen but just doesn't hold up for me anymore. I will say that Laurie's trauma is executed better in h20 then in 2018 and it has a great ending (forgetting about resurrection)
Putting Halloween kills above rob zombies is disrespectful.Halloween kills is one of the worst movies.... Like in my opinion, one of the worst horror movies of all time. I would watch any of the leprechaun movies before.I would ever watch Halloween kills or halloween ends

I agree aside from part 5 cause the jail cell and everything else is just too ridiculous to me.

Original and Part 4 are my faves, I'm glad y'all reviewers are acknowledging Tina was annoying in Part 5, I wholeheartedly agree and have been saying it for years; Zombie's Halloween II was fascinating, overdone trash, Zombie needs to take Less Is More 101.

@@themovieranker For Halloween Ends I hated the fact that there was focusing way too much on Corey in what of was supposed to be the Final chapter of a trilogy and the final confrontation between Michael and Laurie was rushed as fuck if Halloween Ends was what it was Marketed as the final confrontation between Michael and Laurie and Michael wasn’t stuck in a soar for most of the movie then I probably was have liked it and I would have like the Corey storyline if it had been down in anthology timeline or a different movie all together.

First off, 2018 was the best of the 3. Secondly,
Corey’s character would have been much more acceptable had they introduced him sooner . Introduce him in 2018 or Kills and I think is fans would be more accepting, but to do it in the last film shows a lack of devotion to the franchise and more of a liking to their own take on Michael and what they were “trying” to tell.

Untuil i saw Pulp Fiction late last year Halloween had been my favourite movie for about 20 years, and as a kid Halloween 3 was my favourite. 1 love 12 of the movies, at least to some extent, i dislike 1. The top 6 in my rankings are in my 100 favourite movies. My rankings are:

I bought Halloween Ends as soon as it was released on Amazon movies, and wasn't a fan. It took about 18 months to bring myself to watch it again, i had the opposite experience to you on second watch and really loved it. I know everyone has a different opinion, which is great or it'd be a boring world if we all thought alike, like robots.
The bottom 2 I agree with
Rob Zombie trying to add layers to Michael Michaels was a pretty bad idea. Think about it. michael myers is nothing but the personification of evil. He works without a backstory, and trying to humanize him would only clash with his pyschotic nature. It reminds me of The joker movie. They wanted to make a character study movie with the joker while simultaneously still calling him the joker, which doesn't make sense given that he is similar to michael myers in the sense that he wouldn't be himself if he had added character depth, but I guess studios have to cash in on these characters names.
Yeah it's never good to try to give evil a reason especially in Halloween. We didn't need backstory on Micheal but 8 movies in, it was bound to happen

If I had to rank the latest trilogy I would have to say H18 is by Fay the best.Halloween Kills is brutal and gorey but the characters in it piss me off(EVIL DIES TONIGHT) WTF.Halloween Ends is probably the better made film but it’s not how it should have ended.

I can easily see why u think H5 is the worst in the series but Ends clearly the worst in the series it makes the most mistakes out of the entire series basically Resurrection, RZ H2, H5, & H6 all in one movie.

Do you think halloween 5 has the most annoying cast because I sure do I feel like don shanks get to much hate for his portrayal of myers he did the best he could with what he was given that one has the worst mask of the whole franchise it looks so clunky
Don shanks was fine in the role. Don't have a problem with him but it is odd to have the mask with a longer neck, not tucked in.
Not counting Rob zombie's Halloweens the only part i like on his was when Michael was young however i hate the hair but back to real Halloween movie the only four I will never watc are 3 ends H2O and part 8 however if i had to pick one to watch then part 8 but I hate H2O . In fact out of all the halloweens counting even Rob's Halloween movies the only ones I like and will watch are 1 2 4 5 and 6 Halloween 2018 and kills

Halloween Ends should be higher but that's coming from a guy who ranked Halloween Resurrection higher than 5.

Was my fav as a teen but just doesn't hold up for me anymore. I will say that Laurie's trauma is executed better in h20 then in 2018 and it has a great ending (forgetting about resurrection)
