Dear Nicolas! As a retired Florist your flower material choices are spot on and very elegant! Your potential as a florist is all there, the love of the craft, the material and colors you choose and the desire to learn. You're a natural! I would encourage you to attend a class for your own personal experience. The wreath is beautiful and the pear clafouti was again the perfect elegant choice together. So, calming as always.

Thank you, Nicolas, for another relaxing and fun video. you are always so honest and genuine. I laughed when you said, "I keep saying this one and this one, because I really don't know their names." Besides being talented, you are so "down to earth" and friendly to an audience you've never met. keep being yourself. All the best from New York.

"I'm someone who never tends to be an expert." Not only is this an endearing quality, but it is also a valuable quality to have. It keeps you from waiting to be an "expert" before trying things and therefore allows you to have a rich and accomplished life. It also encourages others to jump in and try things!
    Your wreath is gorgeous!

Nicolas, you said, "I'm someone who never tends to be an expert." (I just noticed before sending this, that Janet Claire had earlier posted a response about your statement. I completely agree with her lovely comment, "Not only is this an endearing quality, but it is also a valuable quality to have.") It occurred to me that a "self-proclaimed expert" can so easily slide into territory where they rarely try anything new, for fear of possibly being seen as "still an amateur." Yet an amateur can, if they choose, aim for the goal of expert and perhaps eventually "arrive", still knowing there is always more to learn. I'm certain many others found your statement honest and sincere and a lovely incentive to just "try new things". The wreath was lovely, understated and beautiful. The gorgeous thistle really gave it that bit of something extra, including a nod to Scotland, with just a super subtle touch of blue. A very successful wreath, Nicolas. Thank you so much for sharing that. I was contemplating pears earlier this week, mentally going over different pear recipes. The clafoutis looks delicious. Think I'll try it very soon ... maybe with just bit of whipped cream on the side? After all, with the all the double cream in the batter, what's a touch more? Were you pleased with it?

The wreath is so lovely as it captures the season without being obvious. In the community I live in there are two "camps", the families with school aged children where the outdoor decor gravitates toward the commercial Halloween and horror movie characters. On the other side is the 55+ folks where you will see more of the leveled-up harvest and autumnal themes. I live on the cusp of both neighborhoods so two doors down I have a life-size, knife carrying "Michael Myers" from the movie Halloween and a few doors on the other side of the street a luxurious cornucopia trailing down the stairway. 🥴

It did look lovely over your house door, and what I like is that golden bee or insect piece that is hanged on your door had allowed the wreath to glow more. Loved the wreath and had inspired me for my Christmas wreath. Spring here in Australia and our days after becoming longer and warmer. My quick 🍐 dessert is place pear on some alfoil cut in half take pips out, add approx half teaspoon brown sugar and small knob of butter wrapp up and cook in over until soft about 15 to 20 minutes. Transfer to bowl and you have a lovely syrup and soft pear to have with ice cream or cream. yum

Hi Nicholas, I have made both cherry and pear clafoutis and it is a delicious dessert. If you are interested in the French pronunciation, the s at the end is silent and the accent is on the last syllable....so it is cla foo TEE..many people accent the 2nd syllable, but the 3rd syllable accent is truly French. CHEERS!

Hello, Nicolas. I love your channel - I'm so happy to have found you. Right now I am having my morning coffee aboard the sailboat we live on in BC, Canada binge-watching your videos. I love to decorate and design, even as limited as that is onboard. Most boats veer to blue velvet but I have chosen to bring in the fabrics and colours that were our home over the years. Dusty rose to deep burgundy and all shades of green from sage to dark pines and florals. Very traditional with white beadboard ceilings and half walls and beautiful beams my husband bent to really bring the character alive.
I live in a remote area so for the seasons I go for walks and collect whatever greenery and flowers I can for my wreath which is a grapevine wreath as metal doesn't hold up well with the humidity.

Thanks for sharing and caring with your videos
Loved the desert unfortunately cannot get double cream here in the US since it requires a special process
Dnl cream makes deserts so much richer
    Your wreath was awesome looking
Always look forward to seeing your videos

Your pear torte looks absolutely delicious ...Question: is there a reason why you didn't show us how it looked after cutting into it [and taking a sample bite, even after serving guests???]

The wreath looks lovely, I was hoping you would let us see you cut into that lovely pear pud. I make a similar challed eves pudding, normally with apples but I occasionally switch it up with pears. Never added hazelnuts tho. Mmm a must try for next time. Thanks for sharing Nicolas, have a great week. Hope Sophie is doing well. 👍❤️

Great idea to make the branches into bunches and then place them on the wreath holder.

This is absolutely gorgeous. You're very talented and I can really appreciate the beauty of your floral arrangements. I look at it and think "that's so elegant and classy and rich looking". But I must confess that when it comes to my own front door my taste is....tacky. My favorite wreath are the orange, yellow, and brown metallic deco mesh with leaves, pumpkins and gourds. I can just hear your readers gasp, but I can't help it I think it's pretty. I make them myself, really full for all the seasons and holidays and I get a lot of compliments on them. My husband would probably prefer your wreath on our door. Of course though I can't arrange a single flower in a vase to save my life.

I apologize lol. truly, I can't think of a better way to relax before bedtime than watching Nicholas Fairford. thank you!
