The fact that this track wasn't included in the official soundtrack is a crime against humanity. I remember the first time when I fought Shadow Prince with Sebille as my main and how I was full of emotion. I never felt so blissfully vindicated, and the music was perfect for it. D:OS2 soundtrack is a masterpiece from start to finish.
Hearing this play the first (and only) time in game was surreal! I absolutely love the track but I've never heard the first fifty seconds before, it really adds to it.
Most memorable character ever with just as fitting soundtrack. Such a calm and calculated bastard, even in a weakened state, with his tongue ripped out. There was this strange enigmatic aura around him, I remember thinking - "let him go all out, see what happens". Lunatic proceeds to take out a bomb and wipe half of party's HP bars.
This intro building up into the main battle theme takes it to that next level! Awesome work, the soundtrack is my favourite part of this game and it's one of my favourite games of all time!
I discovered Divinity Original Sin 2 two months ago and what a masterpiece it is in every aspect. Among all the good things about it, three shine the most: combat system, story and music. While many games have great and memorable themes, it's usually one or two songs that stand out. DOS2 is the first game I've played where most of the soundtrack is so amazing I want to listen to it over and over. Thank you so much, Mr Borislav. I've played many video games over the years, but never before have I been so impressed by the soundtrack. So many unique and memorable scores.
@@SeventhheavenDK I've played many games and I'm not exaggerating. Name a game where half of the soundtrack is as good as in Divinity. It's usually just the main theme and one or two other songs, while Divinity's soundtrack is full of such gems as Red and Shadow Princes' Themes, Lohse's Theme, Fane's Theme, Battle for Divinity, Toymaker's Theme, Rivellon and the main theme of course (and some others that I can't name out of the top of my head). Maybe it's just a matter of personal taste, but I'll say it again - no other soundtrack of the many games I've played has made such an impression on me.
@@SereglothIV . I will go with "it is a matter of tastes". Because I can mention you many RPG games that most of their soundtrack is excellent, and not just one or two themes. Most of the Final Fantasy games; especially 6, 7 and 7R, 8, 12, 13, Tactics and Mystic Quest (And I don't even like FF12 and FF13), CHRONO CROSS (this game's soundtrack asks nothing from DOS2), Suikoden 2 and 5, Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2, White Knight Chronicles 1 and 2, Breath of Fire 3 and 4, Valkyrie Profile and Valkyrie Profile Silmeria, Alundra, Some of the Growlanser games, Drakengard 2, Illusion of Gaia, Chrono Trigger, etc. And I am very sure I am leaving many others out. And a lot of the ones I mentioned I find them to have way better soundtrack than Divinity OS2, do not misunderstand me, DOS2 soundtrack is really good (the game itself is even one of my most favorite games ever), but it is definitely not the only one with a great soundtrack, there are even better soundtracks (and I just listed RPGs, there are games that are not RPGs and have a great soundtrack too, lile Megaman X series to mention only one. EDIT: And Castlevania Symphony of the Night, the soundtrack of that game is godly) and I actually think DOS2 suffers of what you say, some themes outstand more than others, while others not so much, and by the way, Fane theme is not really that good.
@@SeventhheavenDK I think there's a lot about the DOS2 soundtrack that you're missing if you think it can't stand up to the others on that list. It may lean into elements that you personally don't find that compelling, but it's every bit as well-composed as, for example, the FF7 soundtrack, and it *way* overshoots the Dragon Age 2 soundtrack, as much as I have a soft spot for that one.
Fighting the Shadow Prince as Sebille is already an incredible climax to her arc, but having this as the backing track (segueing in from her personal theme in the preceding conversation, no less!) just elevates it to another level.
@@wardensurana8336 Sebille's entire story feels better as a companion, if for no other reason then for the fact that her voice actress did an amazing job with her role.

Thank you sir for this beautiful song, I love your work in Divinity: Original Sin 2 but this one is special to me. I hadn't other choice but to help Sebille and I didn't even consider that third option in dialogue with the Shadow Prince.

Unbelievable. Borislav has contributed so much goodness to my life. Not just as great music on DoS2 and BG3 (though it certainly is amazing) but I listen to his tracks on Spotify all the time. They just bring me peace. Love it.

Като малък съм прекарвал часове играейки Knights of Honor. Играта беше добра, но най-любимото ми нещо в нея беше музиката. До ден днешен си я слушам отвреме навреме с удоволствие. This is just getting me rilled up to play the game again. This and the lady vengeance Departure soundtrack are absolutly amazing. Really fitting music pieces for the moment
I hesitate to say if this is the best soundtrack of the entire game, because there are so many masterpiece candidates for that title. But it is my favorite currently. It might be because I've discovered this one relatively recently, and listened to others so much that they don't tickle my mind anymore in a way they used to, or maybe it would be my favorite anyway. I'm both sad and happy that it's a hidden gem outside of the OST playlist. Sad that it's very easy to miss it, especially for those who didn't play the game. But happy, because even after ~80 hours of gameplay, the game brought me such a pleasant surprise (and then an IRL quest to find it :D).
Subscribed, would love if the channel showcased more of Mr Slavov‘s work, Two Worlds 2 is where it started for me! Still holding off on OS 2, not a fan of turn based, but from what I’ve listened to from Baldur’s Gate 3, that’s the one I won’t be able to resist, the soundtrack will carry the game for me. Meanwhile I’ll finally pick up Ryse, and check out Crysis, and if the channel posts other highlights from earlier works, I’ll be sure to listen in!
Yay, thanks for uploading the full version - such a great track. Coincidentally I had just mixed together separate pieces to reform the full version a few days ago, so this would've been very helpful. I hope you release more tracks as there are so many pieces missing from the official soundtrack - especially elaborations on the Arx stuff (like Embrace of the Deathfog).

That one's not his though, think is a track from a previous Divinity game, Dragon Commander, track is Watching Clouds, Kirill Pokrovsky, the guy who made OST for larian back then, appearently passed awayu so that one being in there is a tribute to him
Reached this fight a week ago and before exhausting the dialogue and triggering the fight, i thought i would attack him with my Red Prince and get an extra hit in. Tragically starting the fight this way makes the OST default to the regular ambiance/battle theme. It felt a bit anti-climactic like something was off, turns out this is what i was missing. Oh well. When i heard this though, I went back and replayed it. Such a wonderful and empowering piece :)
