Uncanny valley is real. You can't talk it off. And while it's okay in real life to look ugly, I'm not going to pay full price to look at a 'normal person'. This isn't even a thing in movies since most actors are good looking. Hell the real person after which this abomination is modeled is much, much better looking. This is an insult to her. Just to please some activists who will not buy the game anyways.
I think the reason for all of this is that, as you said the beginning, games aren't as fun as they used to be. Because of that, the smaller things that wouldn't normally be a problem are a lot easier to spot, and only add to the hate these games already deserve.

@@Antares-Dragon have to disagree there something is very odd with game development for the last while, Take something like fallout 3 to fallout 4 and then starfiend the moment to moment gameplay had you interacting with something every few mins at the latest. yet starfield has 3-5mins or longer moments of just walking. yes games like witcher 3, Cyberpunk and Red dead 2 are rare but if you have played assassins creed origins you have played the last 4 games really.

As for what you said about hate groups, I half agree. As a person who was once part of this now meaningless discussion, I can confirm that it has become the aggressor within the past year or so. Movements have two options. They can do what they set out to do, and then fade away, or they can go stagnant and lust for power, creating that self fulfilling prophecy, becoming the hate group they so desperately fought against being labeled as over the past 10 years, which they weren't for a while. Sadly, both sides have chosen the latter, and politics have become a blanket for the real issues, which is why I am talking about the real issues. That is all you will have from me on that front, as I don't want to fight about things that don't matter to me anymore.

Now you understand why I play Gotham knights, sure whatever the game was “bad” but i know someone out there heart in the game and I’m playing it because I’m a true gamer and I love Batman, I play what I want to play even if the game was received negatively.
I really enjoyed gotham knights. It was fun switching between the characters (Red Hood and Batgirl being my personal favorites) and the story had me interested from start to finish. It wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed every bit of what I played and even got the platnium.

New to the channel here: One of the unfortunate truth about larger channels is that hate content gets more views and more publicity because of negativity. The only time I've made negative comments on a game is because it genuinely deserved it. And even then it was rare. For example, when Aloy from the Horizon series got a model change in the second installment, people shat all over her new look. It's honestly really sad that that's what people focus on. Instead of the great gameplay, music, story, design ect.

I was surprised when Skillup's commenters turned on him for that Outlaws preview. It seemed like what I'd expect from modern Ubisoft, bland and somewhat entertaining content aimed for the masses (like many AAA experiences today). I expected better from the people following that channel since Skillup himself is pretty balanced. I've recently blocked a lot of hate train channels, especially if they have "woke" in the title while accusing a company of being awful because they dared have a minority or LGBT character in their game.
