There needs to be more teachers like you. I’m a little more intermediate so it was a little slow going for me but man I wish I had a teacher like you when I was first learning guitar. You take the time to fully explain everything instead of assuming that we understand it.

It's a tricky song compared to this. Not that you can't learn it if you're a beginner but if you are I'd wait a bit.
Back to island in the sun...idk if ther two guitar players are playing different chords but I learned using ska up chords which are different from what this guy payed. Look at the singer of weezer in live performances.
This is literally the best video I have ever seen it explains so much and I'm actually able to learn. it took me about 40 minutes to figure it out

Man changing from Am to D is such a pain in the ass. My ring finger keeps going to the e string instead of the b
practice switching between those two chords constantly. It'll get easier as you get faster

Hey Maticka, make sure that your fingers are pressing the correct strings hard enough without touching the adjacent strings as this is usually the case when a chord doesn't sound right. If that's not the problem, maybe try tuning your guitar again using an electronic tuner or a mobile app. Try guitartuna, it's a free guitar tuning app.
