When we were celebrating my birthday at a bar, this song suddenly played in the radio. This was one of the favorites of my late sister who passed away in a car accident in 2017. I believe she was there with us to remind me that she never forgets.
Don’t worry mine died in a car accident in 2016. You aren’t the only one brother. Stay strong and live your life the way you always intended to do so. Don’t let pain change you into something you aren’t meant to be
I used to play this a lot when I was younger, my Mum used to say how much she loved it too. She died unexpectedly in 2014 at the age of 59 after an underserved, tough life. I adored her with all my being and I miss her terribly and always will. I can only hope she’s on an Island in the Sun and nothing feels bad anymore ❤❤
I first heard this song on the radio when it came out back in 2001. I was driving along the beachside in Cottlesloe, Perth Australia. I was with my two friends and we were just jamming and gliding to this song and we ended up driving an extra 100 miles because it was so fitting driving and seeing the Oceanview and soaking in the summer heat in my Mercedes Convertible. Good times... One of the best moments of my life, thanks to this song. It's forever in my car song collection.

Weezer are real music artists that really can sing and play instruments really well. They make really great music songs. This reminds me of my own weeding. For Latino Hispanic people this video brings good memories of how they celebrated their weeding. This is a very beautiful song and an all time great music song. They are complete music artists of the highest caliber. They are also very nice people and real authentic music artists that really love and appreciate their fans. This song is an all time classic song today that will be remembered for all time in music history. The music is so fresh and hot and so well made that it sounds just as new as it did when song came out back many years ago.. This song sounds newer and better than the bland new music of today in the 2020s that sound older and more dated than music like this that was made back around 20 years ago but still sounds better than the music of today. This is one of the greatest classic rock songs in music history. This is as good as music gets right here.
Why does this not have over 20 million views like their other songs? This is in their top 3 songs ever. The basic melody in the beginning (guitar chords+melodic "heh-heh") is probably one of the best riff creations ever.
This song used to play on the radio all the time. I used to live on a small island in Florida called Sanibel when I was younger. This song brings back so many memories of a time when cares and worries were washed away like crashing waves.
I have 14 years and im having really bad days... this song remembers me the movie of Aquamarine, when I had 8 years and I used to go into bed with my mom next to me and we watched this all days. Now... shes not with me but this song will always remember me her smile and her eyes full of love and happines. Rest in peace, mom. Love you.
I played this song non-stop for months before my vacation to Key west so when I was having a bad day I would just put this on and imagine living it up on an island in the sun. This song still gives me such good vibes and brings back all the best memories of that trip. I love Weezer.
I found it. 10 motherfucking years later and I FOUND IT AGAIN!! SAY IT AINT SO TOO!!!!!! I used to listen to this in the car with my dad and had no clue what the names were. I finally found it again and I’m so glad because I really liked this songs and it reminds me of good times with my dad. He’s not dead or anything, just good vibes Edit: OMG AND THE SWEATER SONG TOO IM SO HAPPY RN
I was listening to this today driving down the highway, hottest day of the year. It reminded me of my childhood, so I called my mom. Happy memories, yet growing more distant by the day. That’s the energy of this. “Hip, hip” to days we’ve come to grow nostalgic over.
If you're from California this is one of the songs you grow up with. I didn't even know who sang it but I knew the song just from hearing it so much here
I feel like weezer was rolling through and said “hey there’s a Mexican wedding let’s crash it and make this video”. Love it. And yes maybe it’s a Tex-mex wedding but hey. It’s all fun and happiness!!!!

Literally every time I hear a Weezer song I haven't heard before, I hear the first four seconds and think "OHHHHHH, it's THIS song? I loved this song!"
Because we all remember our newly teenage times with winds in our minds, thinking about nothing but having fun, watching American Pie everyday and have fun times talkin' about it.
I loved this song as a teen (still do) but had never seen the music video before because i was a was a kid in the 90s/ 2000s. My heart swelled seeing the type of weddings I attended as a kid in those decades, decor, outfits, everything, used in the video. This brought the biggest smile to my face.

When we were celebrating my birthday at a bar, this song suddenly played in the radio. This was one of the favorites of my late sister who passed away in a car accident in 2017. I believe she was there with us to remind me that she never forgets.
Cool, dude.

Don’t worry mine died in a car accident in 2016. You aren’t the only one brother. Stay strong and live your life the way you always intended to do so. Don’t let pain change you into something you aren’t meant to be
@@PreachPeace Appreciate those kind words. Thank you.

It's for sure your mom is now in that island and some day You'll spend some time forever

I was born around the time this was written, but it still sounds nostalgic as fuck. It remembers me of things I've never lived, it's strange...

Matt is that you, it's me Danny!
Wow Australia sounds beautiful
I heard this song in 2001 too. Not as good of a memory attached to it though :|

This is as good as music gets right here.
weezer gives me the “ nerdy science high schoolers “ vibe, and I love it
2:08 why is the funniest thing seeing Mike just screaming? God he was a great guy. Rest in peace man.
Why does this not have over 20 million views like their other songs? This is in their top 3 songs ever. The basic melody in the beginning (guitar chords+melodic "heh-heh") is probably one of the best riff creations ever.
It's because the spike jones version is more recent and has more views

This song used to play on the radio all the time. I used to live on a small island in Florida called Sanibel when I was younger. This song brings back so many memories of a time when cares and worries were washed away like crashing waves.
GreatGator I’ve been to sanibel it’s a great place my family loves it
GreatGator Sanibel seems like a great place to grow up....

I don't know why, but this song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.
that "we'll never feel bad anymore" at the end, even after so many years, makes me red-eyed
Love you.

So sorry for you😭😭😭🙏🏼❤️
Hold on to those good memories, she left them here for you.
I played this song non-stop for months before my vacation to Key west so when I was having a bad day I would just put this on and imagine living it up on an island in the sun. This song still gives me such good vibes and brings back all the best memories of that trip. I love Weezer.
