I only have a few things enabled in preserve settings, Macro control, Portrait zoom, Live Photo, and Photo Style. I want everything else to be reset to default when I close the camera app. Also Prioritize faster shooting, I have this turned off because I want to have the best image quality possible, if you have it turned on you might lose a little bit of quality because it shoots faster.
Facebook does reformat your HEIC files to JPG when you post them up. No problem. You phone also converts HEIC to JPG when emailing. I shoot HEIC48 exclusively.
I suppose the problem is AirDropping. When I send them from the phone to the computer, I can't post them on Facebook or Substack. My newsletter is hard to write on the phone, and even harder to publish, so I still have to do it on the Mac!
Great tutorial, Jefferson. One quick question for now... if I go into the cam control from the button and change the depth or other effects for a photo is there a quick way to restore them to default? Or do I need to go back and return each one manually?
I just opened it, changed F stop to 5.6 in Portrait, took the shot and came back and it was still at 5.6. I suppose you'd want to crank it back up to 2.8 or 2.0 for the next time. That would be default.
I'm not sure I understand the "Facebook doesn't accept HEIF" comment. I've never had an issue taking a photo on the iPhone and uploading to FB. Am I misunderstanding?
One commenter below said that if you e-mail the file to yourself, they get converted to JPG. I didn't do that when I tested--I just AirDropped them to the computer.
@@PhotowalksTV I use the default iPhone camera app, record in cinematic mode, and when I try to preview the video on phone it doesn’t play. I tried checking the video on the photos and play it there, I also tried forwarding to different parts of the video but it doesn’t play either. If I record regulars videos or slow motion it works fine, I’m only having the issue on cinematic mode. I have not tried transferring the videos to pc or iPad yet.
@@nameofcrispyhello. I have the same issue. Apple support was not helpful and i was about to request for refund. But i managed to find the solution on my own. What you can do is after taking the cinematic video, press that send button on your bottom left side, then cross it then press play again on your video. That’s how it work on mine.
this was so helpful-thank you!
Thanks for letting me know!
Hi you said volume up for bust yesss but you didn't change? its that right?

Very helpful! Thank you. Any way to get rid of that little box that pops up when zooming?
I wish I had an answer for you. It drives me crazy too!

Good One! Many thanks.
Thank you John!
👍 more information to store away 🤣 thanks!
Hello sir. I appreciate your videos. Quick question please😊 is recording in 4K at 120fps best of all?
I’m not seeing a dramatic difference.
@@PhotowalksTV Thanks 🙏🏿
THANK U
You're welcome!
Why not 4k 120 for regular video recordings I’m curious ?
You can do that. I did it on one of my shots in the SloMo video, although you can't really see much of a difference.
I have the iPhone 16 but many of my options are not the same as yours. i.e. I don't have a 4k option in slow mo? Surely all 16's are the same?
This is for the Pro models. The non-Pro models will not have some of these options shown.
How to use vivid filter in 16 pro
You found or not

Facebook rejected the HEIF files I created on the iPhone 16. I'll try again and let you know if I get different results.

@@PhotowalksTV hi ! After Your set up i dont see option to edit photo in styles on my 16 pro. Any ideas maybe? Thanks!
Have you noticed the new camera makes you very pale. And do u know what settings can fix that?
My cinematic videos won’t play after I record. Has anyone had this problem also and found a solution?
Tell me more--where won't they play? On the phone? On the computer?
