  • Jellied pie with cabbage is a traditional Russian dish prepared from cabbage, eggs, flour and other ingredients. The cake usually has a layered structure and is served sliced. It is a popular choice for various holidays and family dinners. Jellied pie with cabbage has a juicy and aromatic taste, which is pleasantly complemented by various spices and herbs.
    For the test you need:
    - Kefir 500 gr.
    - Egg 2 pcs.
    - Flour 350 gr.
    - Salt 3 gr.
    - Sugar 2 gr.
    - soda 5 gr.
    For the filling:
    - Cabbage 200 - 300 gr.
    - Boiled egg 3 pcs.
    - Spring onion 20 gr.
    - Dill 5-7 gr.
    - Salt 3 gr.
    - Oil drain. 10 gr.
    1. Prepare the dough. In a bowl, mix kefir, eggs, flour, salt, sugar and soda. Mix well until a homogeneous dough forms.
    2. Let the dough rest for about 15-20 minutes to activate the baking powder.
    3. Now prepare the filling. Grate or finely chop the cabbage. Add boiled eggs, finely chopped green onions, finely chopped dill, salt and butter. Mix all ingredients well.
    4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
    5. Take a baking dish and grease it with oil.
    6. Pour a third of the batter into the bottom of the pan.
    7. Distribute the filling evenly.
    8. Pour the remaining dough over the filling to completely hide the filling.
    9. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
    10. Cool the finished jellied cake with cabbage a little before serving.
