That chat about our elders really hit home for me Jackson. I recently went to visit my grandma in one of those homes. It had been around 2 to 3 years since I had last visited because I was living in a different state. She wasn't the same as I remembered. It was the first time she didn't seem completely there. It broke my heart but I tried to remain positive and grateful that she's still alive and I got to witness her laughing a couple of times to my cousins jokes. I wish I could take her out of that home and have her live with me in my small studio apartment. I feel like we failed her (even if my uncle says she likes it there). I'm gonna do my best to visit her as much as possible from now on, I love her so much.
SMH when she says she likes eggs for her "protein".............. needs to do more research.

I just learned a clever way to oil my bike chain! Why didn't I think of that? Food looked good! The highlight of this video was your discussion on the elderly and how we end up once again like babies, depending on others for our most basic needs. I just turned 60 and have no children. I often wonder who will take care of me when I can no longer take care of myself. My parents both died in their early 60's from cancer so taking care of them was sudden and short. My mother-in-law died at 95 of natural causes. Even though she was blind she was very self sufficient until she hit 92. We took very good care of her. Some Asian countries are totally dedicated to caring for the elderly. American should do the same. Thankfully many do!
Also, make sure to run your clothes through a dryer and clean everything that could have been in contact with bed bugs. They are no joke and you could end up spreading it to each of your host!
Ivy Rose yes good advice- the bugs will also hang out in luggage so if you can possibly wash the panniers, bags in hot water - it’s essential to getting rid of them. Im an RN and one of our patients at the hospital checked in with bed bugs in his wheelchair upholstery and the entire floor had bed bugs within 24 hrs.

in my mid thirties i made a vow to my mom to take care of her like she had taken care of her mom in her old age. earlier we are kindof taught through media that 'they go to old folks homes', but i couldnt imagine my mom in one unless it was super progressive or she chose to, but shes so independent. plus i would want to. i wish it was more portrayed like that in media to take care of our elders.

If you think you have bedbugs don't stay with people as you are going to cause them a whoooooole lot of headache. Hopefully it's just mosquito bites
