- In this video I take upriver from the Swan Falls dam with the DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone. We had a look at a part of the Snake River that I had never explored before. Thanks for taking us down into the canyon, Marcus! That give a whole new perspective on the beauty there. It was also neat to see up stream of the dam for the first time. Definitely have to move the Snake River Canyon higher on my bucket list! It was interesting to see that the M3Pro was capable of almost nearly seamless transitions to higher and higher magnification without have to stop the video in between.
When you are down in the canyon, you can set the maximum height limit to much higher. The limit is 400 feet above the highest point around. You could set it to 900 feet and still be within 400 feet of the canyon rim. That would have allowed you to follow the irrigation pipeline to look at the crops that were being watered.

Ahh it's our most Pro Drone.. the Mavic 3 Pro. It's very Pro. I do hope they continue to tweak it and add the best they have to this Pro Drone. After all we can't have the Air 3 creeping into its space. The PRO space. Did I mention this Flagship Drone is really Pro? Because it is. Pro, you know?

Great view of the river, thanks for showing us a different perspective. I wonder if collision detection was preventing the perfect RTH. Your car seems to be very close to the landing pad and I noticed the collision detection indicator was active and pointing in the car's direction. Anyway, great job and thanks for sharing.

Another great video Marcus. Never miss them. As a short time owner of a Mini 3 Pro I found out on line the precautions of flying over water. DGI say not to fly under 10 Meters (32 Foot). Can cause issues with the sensors causing the drone to land unexpectedly. Living at the beach I do quite a bit of flying over the water but am always well above that. I see you you flying over water quite a bit in the park at the Snake River and the reservoir. I think you are mostly above above that height. Is that because of you being aware of that happening? Ever experienced that?

Hi Marcus, nice video of that part of the Snake River. You need to get a straw hat or sombrero for shade. You said that the Mavic 3 Pro is your best drone. Was this video taken before you received your Air 3? Since getting the Air 3, I doubt that I will ever use my Mavic 3 again.

Yes, there are lines that go high over the canyon. They're visible at one point in the video.
