Coming back go this after Jimmy has moved into a proper house makes me feel so happy for him. To go from an aspiring sim racing content creator living in a literal shed, to living in his own house, with a nice car, racing in actual series, and still simming with the best in the world including real drivers, makes me feel so proud that someone so kind, caring, respectful, and dedicated got what he deserved to have in life. So proud of you Jimmer!

He been on top gear multiple times , and he gets countless tips on a daily, that’s not including all the free gear he receives from sponsors. Does he spend a lot of money yea I’m sure, but does that mean he’s broke? Absolutely not. If you get to do something you love everyday that alone makes you the riches person on earth. Just because some one lives in a shed does not mean he’s poor. You should really learn to start checking facts before you start judging people. An like I said anyone who has that many subs doesn’t have to pay for very much of his “Hobby” related equipment. Sponsers pay for 75% of it.

Long may you continue.

For all the shed jokes it's easy to throw the first stone. His life isn't hurting anyone. Unless you have been born very fortunate and have had some luck in life things like this can happen to anyone. At one point I had racked up a ton of debt with school and cars and didn't want to walk away from the debt and pass the buck and wasn't going to ask my parents for help other than asking them if I could keep one car in their garage. So for 2 years I lived in a single wide trailer while working a salaried job and paid off every penny. Since that time almost 20 years ago I have gone times with plentiful money and times where things have been lean. Keep your head up jimmer. Just don't get complacent and keep pushing forward. You're doing better than a lot of people.

Looking back at this now, after you've become an actual racing champion, I gotta say I find this inspiring. Even though you had to have been absolutely miserable living like this, none of that comes through in video. Always chipper, always positive, and you kept your head down and kept going forward. I'd be interested in reading a blog about how you ended up there, and then how you crawled slowly out of it. You've been nothing less than inspirational. Keep it going, Jimmy.

the ascher racing wheel button plate alone costs like 3 to 4 times as much as a G27 (or G29). And you still need a wheel base and a wheel rim :-D

And my desk is sturdy and a hella less wobbly than 90% of those rigs.

There's nothing mediocre about being THE best sim racer and doubly nothing mediocre about also producing THE best videos on the subject. I've yet to find a single one of your presentations that wasn't absorbing, inspiring, educational, fun and, not least, so darn frustrating because I'm always forced to accept that I'll never get anywhere near your skills with the wheel and pedals, not to mention being able to describe every significant moment in detail whilst doing it.
Many thanks for those videos and for the tour, Jimmy!

And so after about a year of watching through the *suggested videos* bar on the right, it was THIS video that earned you my subscription. At 28 i had to go live in my parents cellar for nearly a year, hard times come and go quicker than you think. 10 years later, I find myself living in France, i have a wife, 2 kids, a job, a house, and life is sweet. No need to keep the chin up ALL the time, but just keep plodding on, and do what you love, things work out for the best eventually.

After many years of pouring stupid amounts of money into real life motorsport and after many years of feeling crap about no longer being able to afford it you have given me the inspiration to get a steering wheel back in my hands and at least have some fun in a virtual racing world. Immensely enjoyable videos fueled by a passion for motorsport that effortlessly flows out of you...thank you Jimmy you bloody legend

Lol I literally lived on the street and went through trash cans. I literally lived in 650k dollar homes and was fed high class meals. I traveled and did random garbage things. Lived with my dad in mid 20's, who knows, maybe it'll happen again! I carried my computer down the street to hide it somewhere safe because I didn't know where else to put it, one day.
I earned money and spanged for money (panhandling).
I've flown signs, and also sold business deals.
While homeless, I also had like 3 jobs and side gig's, while ALSO selling stuff. I've literally had NO job and stayed in a home for years.
    WHO THE HELL CARES
You can't tell me different, that shed looks pretty chill to me.....
