During Dreamlover her playback failed, she was still miming the words but not a peep. Eventually her team resolved the issue. She was closing her eyes the whole time :O

Mariah, you have a voice, please take care of it. Do some vocal exercises, get a vocal coach and trainer and keep it up. Get some rest, stay away from the alcohol, champagne, etc. there is no shame in doing this, because like keeping your body in shape with a trainer like professional athletes do, the same goes for your voice. Tina turner gave it 100% every time she took the stage, because the audience deserves your all.

@Justyn Hilarious when you're given a voice like mariah, don't take it for granted and don't mean that in a bad way. She has one of the greatest voices in history and has revolutionized singing. Many of today's singers have taken note from Mariah's vocals and style. And I would hate for her to wake up one day and find that she can't sing anymore.

They did this to embarrass her. I am guessing they used a separate vocal track. Why not just build it into the audio track? Unless, she wanted to do certain parts live. Just be consistent.

dear rafa I only say that because she probably sees that people are accusing her of lipping this song... so she "faked" a mic malfunction to make it look like the she was singing live and the mic just shut off.
