I love Leblanc That's the problem, she doesn't give her voice the proper care. Her voice was great! It had great consistensy, strenght, no effort in high notes and effortless whistle registers. But now her voice lost almost all of it's consistensy, not much strenght, she kinda struggles to hit high notes and her whistle registers are kinda uncontrolled and aren't very consistent, and she struggles a bit to hit them too. And the belting isn't so good. But at least she tries, and her voice is still good of course. She's a living legend.
Actually, a singer's voice will change with age but given the fact that she also has nodules of course she's not going to sing the way she was at 47 that she was at 20. Teena Marie (google her) didn't sound the same as she aged either. The passage of time do it. Plus we don't know what Mariah Carey does in her spare time or how she cares for her vocal chords.
