I love them!! I don’t use leaders with those. The magnets work really good end to end securing my quilt top & backing to my metal rail(pipes).
Good video. Would be great if could see more long arm videos both set up and usage.

I loved this idea but was shocked at the price! Did some research and its off to Harbor Freight i go!
I have an Innova longarm and have the sew tites. I don’t love them. I find the weight of the sew tites gets in the way of quilting - unless you have an even extra amount of backing. When working on customer quilts they are already required to have 4” extra of backing all the way around - they do not want to purchase even more backing

Hi Erica, would you mind doing a future video after you have quilted several (maybe 5-10) quilts using the magnets, please? Or maybe just reply to this comment. I’m interested in purchasing the magnets, but as you said, these are an investment. On the surface, they seem wonderful, but I’d really like to know your opinion of them after you’ve used them on multiple quilts. I’d like to know how they hold up and any drawbacks that you may have observed. ❤
Hi! I've had them since about October and have used them on quite a few projects. I really do like them, they're so much easier and faster to use! They hold up great, and I wouldn't go back to pins. I am glad that I sewed them into my leaders, that makes life easier as well. I would say the only down side is that they are strong, so they do stick to each other. I pull them all off and stack them together, then pull one off at a time to load the longarm, they're strong, so you have to slide them apart. But that's also a good thing because I haven't gotten any fabric slipping when I'm loading my longarm or quilting.

Hi Erica…love your channel! This has nothing to do with todays video but thought I’d jump on here and ask if you have ever thought of making a crossbody bag (they look like a Fanny pack) they are very popular right now. I’d love to make one but I need an “Erica made” pattern😂
Thank you for this demonstration Erica. My rental doesn’t use them but I am going to recommend them for sure! I also love the floating option and tip to be successful on batting. I did have breakage issues one time and wonder if it was the reason why. Love all your content! Hope my shop lets me try the floating option. I think it will help keep the top straighter 😊😊🧵🪡

No, you don't need to baste your quilt on the longarm.
I love this video and great idea with the magnets. I'd like to see you do more longarm videos! I'm saving up for a frame longarm. I have a sit down longarm now and I don't find it enjoyable like I thought I would. It's too much of a chore with basting on the floor or table. I would prefer a frame and computerized longarm. I have so many quilt tops that are done but I dread quilting them.
thanks for the video just set up my longarm but have not figured out what to do for easy loading might give these a try. Would love to see your free motion quilting on your quilts.
I struggled to get the leader loaded. I got so frustrated I went back to pins. I think it helps if you have a helper.

I have this one, I'm not set up to do the automated quilt designs, so I'm doing all free-hand. But you can get a laser addition and then use the pantographs on the bed of the frame. www.sewingmachinesplus.com/juki-tl-2200qvp.php

I was at quiltcon yesterday and tried to talk to them. They are not very friendly. I was basically ignored. I am disappointed. I wanted to talk about the magnums. Oh well. I still love the magnets. They are expensive. I have seen others make something to do the same thing but was too chicken to try since theses claim to be stronger than earth magnets. I hate pinning
