I just replaced my “660W” one with this 325W one and it works just as good if not better. Much quieter too! So no, wattage is def not everything. Thanks for making this video it’s very helpful!
Just a quick note on glass bowl. KitchenAid has recently redesigned the glass bowl for tilthead mixers. The original glass bowl has a removable plastic thread ring on the bottom the new version has eliminated that. The bowl with the plastic ring can be a little bit fidgety to get into the mixer base.
hello dear can you help me decide on size of kitchen aid mixer, i bake regularly as hobby but sometimes bake 8-9 dozen of cookies, 4-6 layer cakes etc? will 4.8L size good enough for this?
Nice video. Do you realise you can leave the pouring shield in place and use it to add your dry ingredients this will help with any flour puffs as well. I left my beloved kitchen aid in the US when I relocated to England. I have just ordered my new Artisan Series ❤️ can’t wait for it to arrive.
Hi, thanks for the review, very helpful. What is the tablet you use for recipes that I see rested on the backsplash on the counter on the right? Is it useful to have it?
Hello just a quick question I just got my KitchenAid artisan mixer and I also purchased the silicone flat edge scraper like what you have i’m finding it’s making a banging sound i’ve tried adjusting the screw with no lock but I only seems to be doing it without attachment The attachment says it’s for the 4.8 L bowl so it is right. Did yours do the same didn’t need to wear in ? Thanks.
@@Sweetthingsbyamy thanks for the reply it turns out once you have some mixture in the bowl it doesn’t do it. The problem now is the mixer is a bit loud and some rattling sounds but I guest that’s normal as it works fine.
hi, I have a Kenwood mixer but I would like to buy an Artisan KitchenAid machine. Are you satisfied with yours? Do you suggest me to purchase it ? in case I am not happy, I will resell it. Greeting from Italy . Adriano
Hi Amy! I wud luv to see an updated review of this machine? Is it still performing as good as it was back then when u purchased it? R u facin any problems with it and did u feel the need to get it repaired/returned? Great vid btw
Thank you! Great tips - I have the same artisan mixer and plan on lots of baking for the holidays! Where are you in England? I was born in Ipswich to a British citizen/American father.
@@Sweetthingsbyamy thank you I'm so happy to hear about the updated video. I have heard from countless people that KitchenAid mixers aren't made as high quality as they used to be. I was looking to purchase a kitchenaid mixer but I'm torn because they are expensive and if the quality isn't as good as it was decades ago then it makes you wonder if it's worth it to even purchase one. Some people prefer to buy a vintage model because they last longer than the new ones. I can't wait to see your video.
@@ForeverGodsGirl03 I love the way it works and looks but mines started making a funny noise. Need to call them to check if it can be fixed. But yes updated video is coming
I have mine just week ago. But my reviews so far is not very possitive about Kichen Aid. When making small cake( 2 eggs my best recipie cake). First it was taking far too long compare to my hand beater., didi'nt mix very well and result turned our more dense rather then fluffy and light. I hav'nt tried for bigger cake yet. For me if you are small cakes baker like me, this machine is not suitable.
The dense cake was a cause of overmixing. The kitchenaid is not at fault, next time fold in your flour. You left it running itself for too long. And I fail to see how your handmixer is faster considering it’s definitely of a lower wattage. However you mentioned how you make a cake using 2 eggs and they’re very small. Because they are small, I’d recommend just using a handmixer and use the a stand mixer for larger projects
Thanks for sharing, I would definitely recommend it for larger batches, for smaller things like cupcakes i mix by hand as its easier :) agree with below, sounds like it was overmixed
Purchased my Artisan 325 Watt (Cobalt Blue) off of Amazon in 2005, and it still purrs like a kitten. Very pleased with the mixer.
That’s so good! I think my issue was overuse 😅 everyday for 3 years has killed her off. Still works well just occasionally makes a loud purr

taupe / grey i believe
This was a great and informative video, thank you!

Very good review! Thank you !
Glad you liked it!
Wonderful review, very detailed. Thank you. Does this handle bread dough well?
I’ve used it for dough and it works well. I’ve found my machine begin to lag due to high volume of use (daily)
my dream mixer. wish i could have one.😍😍😍
I was blessed with one and you will be too!😊
omg this looks so nice and fancy! love this video x
Thank you so much!!
What color kitchen aid is that? So pretty!

Hi Amy , Thank you for sharing the video .
With beater would you recommend to use for doing the buttercream . Thank you.
Hey, I only use the silicone edge beater for buttercream as it scrapes the bowl whilst mixing :) but the standard beater is also good
Hi, thanks for the review, very helpful. What is the tablet you use for recipes that I see rested on the backsplash on the counter on the right? Is it useful to have it?
It’s just an iPad, I don’t think it’s essential I had it before I started baking but if not I’d recommend printing recipes
does the whisk attachments reach all the way to the bottom of the bowl?
You can adjust how high or low the attachments go as needed

Mine never made a noise thats probably where its too close to the bowl, maybe try contacting the seller to check :)

Does silicon attachment and shield not come with it? Did u have to buy it separately ?
Nope, I had to order separately through amazon 👍🏼
They both come with the 175 and 185 versions. Not with the entry level 125 versions.
What's the minimum number of eggs you could whip using this ? I know it's 1 for the artisan mini !
Hi I’ve done 1 using for these meringues and it worked, took a little longer as it needs to catch the egg in the whisk but it worked.
Thanks
@@Sweetthingsbyamy thanks Amy !! Loved how informative the video is !!!
Hi would you recommend this model for a small coffee shop, may need to mix a 1.5 bread dough with it sometime
Thanks
I think so, i don't make dough but i believe it can handle decent batches from the reviews I watched
Nice review!
TERRIFIC REVIEW and VIDEO. Thank you very much for sharing. 🙏🇬🇧

is it 110v?
great video
thank you very much
u r great
Nice Video
Thanks
Can you mix pancake batter with this machine? I'm looking for a machine that makes mixing the batter easier
Yes I cant see why not, we used to mix pancakes with a handmixer so i assume this will be even quicker :)
Plastic needs more power than metal. That is everything you need to know.
Are you still loving your KitchenAid?

Wow nice 🌻🤩like 10 👍👍👍
I really want one but the mixing bowl is so heavy and hard to clean! 😂
Really I think the metal is light and easy to clean, the glass bowl is much heavier 😂

You forgot to beater adjustment screw
Hello, I don’t know what that is? That may be why I didn’t include it, thanks
@@Sweetthingsbyamy it adjusted the height of the beater
Fancy, but BEAR DOUGH MIXER is cheapest that it!
