Wonderful. Without your tutorials, we would have failed in our propagation of thick bougainvillea cuttings! I have been successful with 1and half inch diameter cuttings also. I use Rooting Harmon No.3. and cover it with plastic as the weather is dry here. Next time, eyeing for propagating a hunted branch with almost more than 2 inch diameter.
Glad you liked it and thank you very much for your words. But, I doubt that you would fail propagating Bougainvillea plants as you have done 7 times successfully! You are already an expert :-) Wish you all the best for propagating more plants!
You definitely would be able to do that..Trust me, it's not that hard! And, it doesn't like that all of my cuttings root every time. Sometime, only few make it. The main aim is to keep on trying and trying :-) Wish you all the best and please don't forget to inform me once you do it successfully!
Thank you for the tips! Your dog is cute! I am trying your method this weekend. Then I'm off to find a neighbor with an orange hibiscus. Hopefully they will let me take a cutting. I live in Florida and people like it when you do this. Less trimming they have to do. So many plants grow quickly and take over a space in no time.
Thank you, great tips and FANTASTIC results! I enjoy your videos and it's always fun to have "Special Guests" like today. The time lapse is so nice to see your results........A MASTER. Thank you again.
You are most welcome and thank you So much for your words, really appreciated! I believe, you love Bougainvillea plants a lot (I do recognize you very well as you have added your view in all of my Bougainvillea videos). I hope, your plants are growing quite well and if I remember correctly, last time you said that they were around 7-8 feet tall (absolutely awesome). Happy Gardening and TC :-)
Thank you for posting. I have a plant that needs to be moved -- not all family members appreciate it because of thorns --- so wanted to get cuttings for a new site. Keep up the good job.
Wish you all the best and thank you very much for your words! Agree with you..in fact, I also didn't let them grow big when my daughter was toddler-aged and thorns are extremely sharp.
I'm a County Master Gardener Specialist and came across your video. Just like to see how others do things. Your method is like mine with the expection of the construction sand. Kuddo's to you, this is a excellent tutorial.
Play/construction sand is all that's required. Substitutes - like cocoa fiber, vermiculite or perlite - are likely what you used, correct? Let others know.
Awesome video... I did the same thing a few months back... But the only difference is I used a big plastic sheet to cover the whole pot and made it airtight... Then I forgot about it for a month ... Works like magic
Hiii brother, myself always watch your videos which are very informative about growing plants, thank you so much, and please make a video on how to sow a tuberous begonia for the plant growing beginers😊🙏
Glad you liked it and thank you So much for your words :-) Temp is increasing in my place and it's raining too frequently. It feels great to see all the plants growing new leaves :-) Some of my other plants (which are in ground like The flame tree, Flamboyant etc) are starting to bloom. Looking really nice and I would share in coming days. Hope, you would like to see those plants :-)
Informasi yang sangat jelas, terperinci dari awal menanam hingga Bougenville tumbuh subur dengan akar sangat banyak. Terima kasih sangat menginspirasi. 👍👍👍 Salam dari Indonesia 🇮🇩
thanks for sharing this.... it was different with similar videos... somehow.....I love this flower and tried many times to reproduce it but i filled every time.... but i think it's time...this is what i'm looking for
Excellent video! I got some cuttings yesterday and I searched for your channel first to see the process. In your video, Doggie came at the perfect time to eat roots😅
You are most welcome and glad to hear I could do something, thank you for your feedback. I can totally understand..many such videos are available and they use many different fruits (from Banana to Cucumber and what not)...
I have also grown Bougainville cuttings in sand in March.New shoots have started coming up. I have kept the pot under a bushy hadge to maintain moisture. Apparently the sand has no nutrition then how the new shoots would survive in the absence of any fertilizer ? How long we will continue the sprouted cutting in sand only or do we need to give some liquid fertilizer? Please advise I am a new gardner. Thanks for posting very useful vedeo on gardening techniques . Please do answer.
Ha ha..I wish I had those magical hands..But, thank you so much for your wonderful words, really appreciated! I am glad I could do something and thank you once again! TC :-)

Thank you so much for your words 😀 He he..he is just 1 year old and do lots of nasty stuffs..LOL..already damaged my Camcorder n getting trouble while recording vids now.....Anyway, he is just like a kid and so, let him do it 😀
Question, mycuttings were made from a huge hardwood branch that was winding. As such I have lost track of which way is up for the cuttings! Is there any way I can tell if I have the cuttings the right way up? Many thanks!
Ik I'm late but, it's easier to identify which way is the correct when the cuttings are thin and leafy, I've struggled fron this thing and it sucks. I just let luck decide and plant it a random way lol
This is one of the clearest, best tutorials I've watched! Thank you.
