This place looks amazing, but I was very surprised to see a chain on the female that had the baby. I will be there in Oct excited to visit this place. Thank you for the video
We definitely didn't see any mistreatment. They had fenced areas for some elephants and they had areas with no fences where the elephants were chained. They seemed to always have a trainer with the elephants. None of them looked distressed. This was our observation. Up close experience with beautiful animals. 🐘
There are elephants all over the that you can visit without a fee. The only extra price we paid for was for the morning wake up and feeding with an elephant at our bungalow. It's pretty amazing how up and close you can get with them. The babies were super cute! We pre booked with Agoda. bit.ly/TawanRiversideElephantResort Thanks for watching!! 🙏🐘
It would probably be a little dark, (if you're riding a scooter). You might want to reach out to the resort for a better answer. It was definitely an experience we'll never forget. 🐘❤️
@@allthingsreview777 We rented from this shop maps.app.goo.gl/aNsD8qTrWWwPh6196 They never asked me for a license and all I had was my US drivers license without endorsement. I also had my Philippines license with an endorsement (we live there part-time). But the only thing I had to show was my passport. Super easy. Lots of bikes to choose from. Safe travels always!!
You guys are simply great.

I just saw a video saying that all the elephants are always chained and mistreated? What was your observation? Thanks

Great video! While staying at the resort, were you able to see the elephants as you wanted or was it with extra fee? Did you prebook the resort ?

Sorry for the late reply. Chained only at night for theirs and people's safety.

How far was this place from main town? Thanks
We rented a scooter just outside the Old City in Chiang Mai and I think it was about an hour ride if I remember right. Nice easy roads.
@@lumpialife do you just need an international drivers license to get a scooter or do you need a motorcycle license? Thanks!
