- A cemetery in Xayar, NW #China's #Xinjiang #Uygur Autonomous Region, has recently become a bone of international contention. #CNN reported that graveyards in the region were being demolished by authorities, highlighting stories such as that of Aziz Isa Elkun, a Uygur poet now residing in London, who had said he couldn't find his father's grave on Google Maps. Remember many years ago the toys scandal in US. China was accused of making dangerous toys and the Western MSM went wild. When it was proven to be a design fault by the West, and Chinese factory was manufacturing it according to design, only a mention in the passing by MSM. The news made it seem like it was the government's fault whereas it was a manufacturing problem and manufactured according to design which was a west patent. Countless incidences like this since those days.
im a malaysian, and 2 years ago my company sent me and my muslim colleague to xinjiang about 2 months for business trip. we visited city and small village.
after some conversation with local uygur, it totally different story from what i heard from CNN.
most of ugyur they are happy with CCP, their income are higher than before. but of coz still have some ugyur they complaint about some small issues about politic.
And even the lndia media add more lair news in order to make Western happy.

Wow, no, journalists from my country (we are Asian, too) told us that what is western media has shown is true. The concentration camp is real and the CCP always tries to cover it up. On a more serious note: my Uyghur and other Chinese friends have started a group on twitter specifically dedicated to debunking these pictures and videos. One of their Turkish friends published an article on a Turkish site, filled with debunked pictures and videos-including the tomato genocide. 🙄 The Terrorists aren’t very happy...then again, those poor people seem to be completely lacking a sense of humor or happiness. They even report my Uyghur friends when they post lovely, happy videos of dancing with their Han sisters and brothers, or celebrating Chinese New Year with local police. What a miserable life they live. 😔. Perhaps if they stopped lying to Western media and changed their ways; they could start experiencing the happiness, security, (no longer worrying about our perpetual war machine hunting them when they fight in Syria), and even teach my countrymen and women a few things about humility..but I’m afraid that may be too tall an order..unfortunately. 😔❤️🇨🇳☮️

I saw the BBC documentary on uyghur. It looked like a pre-motivated and staged.The Anchor was behaving in such way as if he was restrained everywhere.He was not a good actor.They interviewed people who can't understand English.They tried to show it as if these people were scared. It was crap documentary. Such a shame!!! BBC. My father was the Member of Bangladesh China Friendship Committee, the first Committee to be established. He was politically involved in student politics n GS of Students Union (Maoist). I grew up listening to my father telling me China is the Future Greatest power in Geo politics n economy. It became true. Now, I say to my daughter that China is the future.
I have great respect for your father, for your father was a very wise man indeed, & of course what he said turned out to be true. China will soon be the future leading country, a shining example of how to create a strong country able to protect & defend itself & stand on its own two feet. China must help to develop developing countries economies, because at the end of the day, the future markets will be in the developing economies for years to come. With the way this world is set up, people need to realise that there's a big shift happening, & if they don't realise this, they'll be left behind in the dust, whilst other developing countries, will be doing business with other neighbouring countries. Par of the misconception about China in the west is due to ignorance, lack of knowledge about China's history, & partly due to western propaganda in the media. There's also a slight hint of racism in their approach towards China, & not just China, but they have this western kind of racist, ignorant, arrogant approach towards any developing country, arrogant in a way, that the west seems to think that other countries simply cannot do what the west does any better than the west, it's pure western arrogance, superiority complex. It's like the west somehow feels superior, morally & intellectually, compared to developing countries ' therefore in their minds, we cannot simply manage our own affairs on our own, despite China's long history compared to American history, which is only 220+ years, which is nothing compared to China's 5,000 year old history. This is what it all comes down to, it's western arrogance.

You don't understand. The aim is to expose their lies to the world. These media are not the social media. They are mainstream medias watch by millions. There are some naive people who do not really know what is going on, but they are good souls. The objective is to let them know who lies, if not, over time, these grp of ppl would be subconsciously brainwashed. Have u seen videos of many good souls from the West who said they are surprised that China, in many ways, are not that bad as many western media claim to be after staying in the ctry for yrs, either by work or study. This "report" is pure propaganda and lies. The Chinese government seeks to destroy all evidence of Uyghur history and culture. I've been to the Uyghur graveyards in Xinjiang outside Kashgar and Turpan. I've seen the ancient dirt mounds and grave stones with the star and crescent. Those are the traditional Muslim graveyards. Those 'new' mauseleums were built by the Chinese regime to destroy evidence of Uyghur culture and history. Notice no names, no Muslim star and crescents, no dates. Just numbers. Also notice the so-called "reporter" said "where his father is *now* buried." The man's poor mother and sister are terrified of being sent to camps or other reprisals against the whole family. They are just saying what the regime told them to say.
I oppose American government hostility against China, but I also know that the Chinese regime is very repressive. I saw it with my own eyes what they were doing to the Uyghurs. The Chinese people need to know the truth of what is done in their name. This is like what was done to Native Americans.

China doesn't really have to, the more rope we give them, the faster they hang themselves with it. The western msm are tripping over all their lies they have concocted against China thus far. So in a strange sort of way, they're self defeating themselves already, in this sense China doesn't have to do a thing because most same people with brains don't believe anything on western msm anymore anyway. So part of the fight against western lies & propaganda a has already been won by China. This is one of the main reasons why China has a big firewall, to shield it's citizens away from western propaganda, not to censor news within China, but to protect its citizens from outside malicious information. The fact that Xinjiang community still available to speak their native language, practice their religious and culture along with the chinese is just enough to not believe the bad propaganda coming from UK, USA media. Xinjiang keeps the Ugyur scripts, and because the country is run by Chinese government of course they have to adapt to the new law, just like USA when you are a foreign you have to learn the language in order to find jobs.
There are signs that say don't speak uighur and speak simplified Chinese. Our country allows free speech, letting you hear the bad and good. Chinese people still have a grudge against Japan... China is responsible for the divisions in Asia. And the world. If they were really trying to wipe out a minority race…then wouldn’t they try to cut down someone with possibly the biggest voice for Uyghurs? She’s still supported and loved by millions of Chinese citizens. Also, the Uyghur language is STILL on the Chinese currency, so I mean…

If you have been to Tibet the sacred relics are made with human parts: skin, bones...( kinda broke one of the 5 precepts.) I've been to the Uyghur graveyards in Xinjiang outside Kashgar and Turpan. I've seen the ancient soil mounds and grave stones with the Muslim star and crescent. Those are the traditional Muslim graveyards. Those 'new' mauseleums were built by the Chinese regime to destroy evidence of Uyghur culture and history. Notice no names, no Muslim star and crescents, no dates. Just numbers. Also notice the so-called "reporter" said "where his father is *now* buried." The man's poor mother and sister are terrified of being sent to camps or other reprisals against the whole family. They are just saying what the regime told them to say.

Anyone able to to think will see that the Chinese government is cruelly dentioning its own citizens, the actual reasoning behind it being that CCP fears Uyghurs have separatist and extremist views. The Chinese government doesn't like anyone deviating from the majority Han Chinese customs and it's own atheist views. Also, don't forget Xinjiang was forcibly occupied by China in 1949, and China will obviously try to suppress dissension amongst the conquered people.
I will try my best to answer your questions. My viewpoint through out this whole thing is that no country is "evil". Every country has its own faults and goods. I was born and raised in China, and I have experienced both China and the US. I thought that the sudden turn of events in Western Media from portraying China from both positively and negatively to only negatively was weird. Now that I have looked at both western media and Chinese media, I have learned that i disagree with both. 1) In 2017, a group of knife-wielding Uighurs killed 27 people and injured a hundred more. The Chinese government thought that this was terrorism, and it was being led by terriost groups like Al-Qaeda. This isn't false, because these groups are currently in Xingjiang, and are convincing more and more Uighurs to join. Response to the Chinese CCTV
After my recent interview with CNN about the destruction of my father’s tomb, Chinese Global Timesand China Global Television Network specifically responded spreading fault information about the destruction of my father’s tomb by forcing my 78 years old mother to give an interview. The GT and CGTN claim that they respect Uyghur and other Muslim nationalities graveyards and burial traditions in East Turkistan (Xinjiang), but the claims made about me in the article are not correct.
They said: “Aziz Isa Elkun claimed he could not find his father’s grave, which was located in Xayar county in Aksu Prefecture, from a satellite image on Google. However, instead of checking with his family in Xinjiang, the Uygur poet opted to tell the media of his discovery.”
Let me clarify this:
My father worked for 40 years as a medical doctor for Shayar County, Toyboldi town hospital. He died on 4th November 2017. I heard about his death four days later through a friend. Soon before the end of 2017, all my telephone communication with my mother was cut off. I had no news about my mother and other relatives from our village for more than two years, when I learned from friends living outside the region that my mother was alive and that my sister had been detained in an interment camp for more than a year and a half. I still have no news of my other relatives. Thanks to this Global Times TV Network report I have now heard my mother’s voice for the first time since February 2017.
On 15th April 2019, I discovered from Google Earth Pro map that the graveyard and tomb of my beloved father were all destroyed. When I visited my family in 2012, we pre-built my parents’ tombs (see photos below), so I know exactly where they are located. My father stayed in his tomb for only 623 days. I only understood the destruction after comparing Google Earth Pro map’s capture timeline in last the 15 years.

In China, many citizens love uyghurs. Xinjiang is also a holy place for many Chinese people, including myself. I would like to visit there in the future. Chinese citizens approve for the looks of uyghurs. For example, Diliraba is so popular there just like Taylor Swift in USA.
So why would the western media target Xinjiang? Xinjiang is an autonomous region. It means it has its own local government. But, in recent years as you see news in western media has been on a rise talking about these three main points of entrances to China; Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Xinjiang. All these years in the past and only just recently as the global economy is tilting outward, not in USA's favor, massive news and riots happened. HK riots were sponsored by USA.
