What I give out depends on who is at my house. If the grandkids are here, I will get the kind of thing that the kids would like. Sour Patch, ....hmmm....you are tasting the Sour Patch so I cannot remember any others. Smarties, Now and Then? No, Now or Later. Otherwise, if no kids are around, I get chocolate. This year the grocery store marked down the Halloween bags to about $2.50 so I got a variety. Snickers, Kii Kat, Reese’s, Almond Joy and Mounds. Then I leave the bowl out for husband’s therapists. While I love chocolate, I get worn out on chocolate after 7-8 of them. If they were all dark chocolate and orange or raspberry, I would want to keep them for myself. Since Halloween is not an American holiday, how do you and the rest of the UK celebrate Halloween? The decorations suggest a celebration
Sorry for popping back up, and I should have finished watching before commenting. Husband likes me to get Double Stuff Oreos and pits them together calling them Fourples. The little ones will argue the name but after doing 3 or 4 with him, they adopt the name.
Today i picked up a caramel chocolate bar from Turkey in a store where I live in the US. I got back in the car with my friend and half it with him. I started saying “ I would give it a 7, if the caramel was salted it would be better but other then that it was quit nice”. 😂 love y’all show. ❤️
Born and raised in a Philadelphia. I love spiced wafers. I buy four boxes every fall. Never had the sandwich ones. Spiced wafers make delicious cookie crust.
For Halloween this year we handed out Blow Pops, small Laffy Taffys, little packets of Sweet Tart skulls & bones, small boxes of Nerds, and mini KitKats, Reese’s, Hersey bars, and Almond Joys. All the fruity candies (besides the Blow Pops) came in one mixture package and all the chocolate candies came in another mixture package. When I was a kid I always looked forward to the fruity candies more than the chocolate so I make sure to try to hand out both types so kids can choose their favorites!
They are both very entertaining and that's the reason why I can't wait when they upload their videos definitely happy to be subscribed to their channel
This year I handed out rice krispie treats (they are small and individually wrapped for Halloween); reese's cups; 3 musketeers; Butterfingers; tootsie pops; Trolli sour gummies and bubble gum.
Hello Kate and Alex, Thanks for another fun video. Someone may have already said, but the Cheddar/Jack is most likely Monterey Jack and not PepperJack (this one is spicy). As for the Ranch flavor, it came out when I was a kid and it was "Always the powder" mixed with sour cream, and it was a Dip for raw veggies and chips......later came the thin runny versions of the salad dressings.

Spiced wafers are unique to Philly and only available in the fall. The cookies make great little ice cream sandwiches with vanilla ice cream. Also, spiced wafers are a fabulous substitute for graham crackers in a pumpkin cheesecake. Love your channel!
Spiced Waffers are a Philadelphia favorite. My mother would leave one pack wrapped up and the other she would unwrap. The cookies would get soft. We also would dip the cookies in tea. So yummy!
Cute little fact. I live about 30 minutes from Bethlehem PA home of the peep and Mike and ikes.. At new years instead of dropping a ball like New York. They drop a giant yellow peep. It's adorable.

Great video the Keebler’s cookies use the elves because the commercials for their cookies say that the cookies are made by elves in the hallow tree.it is their trademark. Also the spiced cookies are good to dunk in tea .you made me homesick for Philadelphia and I think you got sent a good representation of the city 💕💕🎈🦋

We try to do a nice mix of chocolate & sweets. Our go to is Twix, 3 Musketeers, 100 Grand, Aero, Starburst, Swedish Fish, Skittles, & DumDum lollipops. We spend on average about a $100 cause they actually bus kids into my neighborhood. Our neighborhood is about 300 condos, so it's really safe area.
Hey guys! I felt compelled to chime in, regarding the name of "Now & Later" candy. Back when I was much younger, a pack of the "Now & Later" had about 12 or 15 pieces per pack. Priced at 10 cents a pack. The tag = "Eat some now, save some for later." They came in about 10 - 15 flavors. That's not to say that your explanation isn't valid, but it's what I remember. The Keebler sandwich cookies, it's NOT "El Fudge", it's "E. L. Fudge". It's the name of the head elf (the little guy on the package). Much love to you both.
Trick-or-treating growing up was a difficult task for us. We grew up in such a rural area. So Mom had to drive us to each house with them being so spread out. But we knew everyone in the our little village. So we knew our popcorn balls were safe to eat, and once we even had homemade candy corn. I can't stand the store-bought stuff now.
Hopefully people will send you some ranch packets or it comes in a bigger container, I didn't know Russell Stover had a orange marshmallow one, I learn so much just watching your channel lol

The double E.L. filling cookies are SO GOOD -- Keebler has SO MANY good cookies that remind me of my childhood -- and Snyder's is just GOLD STANDARD when it comes to party mixes, which is why they're a little pricier..

On the topic of Halloween in general. Here in the U.S. the "trick or treating", is not as big as it used to be. At least not the same as I remember it being, as a kid. Funny thing is, in any given year, if I go and purchase a lot of candy to hand out, no one would knock on my door. Whereas, if I don't have any candy on hand, every little one in the neighborhood will come a knockin. This year I may end up eating a lot of it myself. To be honest, I don't know how I feel about that. Lol
Now it's common to have sponsored Halloween events by schools or towns on the weekend. There's also a movement to hold Halloween on a Saturday in October rather than on the 31st as much for safety reasons as any other.

LOVE these lollipops called Caramel Apple Pops, they’re big green apple pops covered in real caramel. In the U.S. they are hard to find in the stores, but they have them on Amazon.
I find them Halloween time in the stores, I just bought 2 big bags lol but in NY they’re hard to find, usually big department stores but other stores like CVS it’s rare!

We handed out Skittles and Starburst this year. We didn’t have many trick or treaters. Our road doesn’t have sidewalks and people drive crazy! But some teenagers came and cleaned out the candy bowl 😂🎃
Any snack or mini size candy bars or packets of candy like skittles, etc... are perfect for Halloween. Some people do homemade treats, but due to the times, they aren't as widely welcomed anymore, sadly. I had an older gentleman neighbor when I was young, who would give out dimes and pencils for Halloween. Some people make up little goodie bags for trick or treaters. Individual wrapped pieces of bubble gum are always a winner. All types of lollipops. Just whatever you wanna hand out, so long as its storebought, and individually wrapped.
For Halloween, I tend to give out candy alternatives. This year was playdoh, slim jims, mini bags (lunch sized) of multiple popcorn varieties, pencils and fruit. I think it's the specific items offered that prevents getting egged or tp'd. It's not like there are toothbrushes and dental floss in the bowl! I figure that any child that WANTS fruit should get it.

It's either funny or sad, but I have a story about spice wafers. Me, my mom, and my younger sister by five years all love those cookies. My dad who was in Philly for police training sent my sister 3 boxes for her birthday. My mother had opened the package because the majority of the delivery was for her as their birthdays are 23 and 24th of that month. My mother got a necklace. So, she pulls me aside and whispers "I have one of your sister's cookies, wanna split it with me?" Normally, I'd say no it isn't right. But she's been plucking my nerves and my mom's for 2 months. So I said sure. So here we are eating a row of cookies to ourselves in secret. All the while, my sister is saying "I smell spice wafers" because she had eaten her's ages ago. It was hilarious, she was none the wiser. Until she'd read over my father's card and noticed it said 3 boxes. My mother took the wrap for it saying she ate it all herself.😄
the last mystery flavor last year was fruity pebbles. the mystery Oreos I mean. my daughter loves the sour cream and onion Ritz chips. and the dip that was on the bag, is sour cream and onion dip. That's also a thing here in the US
The Snyder's honey mustard and onion are my absolute favorite I used to eat the small bag from the Dollar Tree convenience store and while I didn't like spending a dollar for such a small bag I had to search them down in the grocery and get the much larger one they are definitely a guilty pleasure!
Omg I love the hazelnut filled m&ms!!! They came out around April of this year! I don’t eat them much cuz I can’t have too much sugar but I love the shareable size bag of these.

The spice cookies from Philadelphia are one of our favorite and you can only get them in the fall at certain stores. We dip them in cold milk so they are not so hard.

You'd be amazed at how much flavor it brings out in different foods I like a lot of old bay but if you really dont like the spice use only a little bit cc a little still goes a long way. :)
I have a local store called Macey's that carries huge bags of the Frooties candy. Each bag is only one flavor and my favorites are blue raspberry and cherry. 🍒 We had a Rocket Fizz store, but it shut down after just 2 years. 😥

You should definitely come and visit Philly. We have some great food and lots of history in our city. If you ever do come this way, you’ll have to do a Wawa reaction. Wawa is like a convenience store but with made to order food. It’s so good! Plus you need to try an authentic cheesesteak (Jim’s on South Street are the best) and soft pretzels. Amazing!

This is cool, I live like, ten minutes away from Philly and a lot of the stuff I love was sent.
LOVE these lollipops called Caramel Apple Pops, they’re big green apple pops covered in real caramel.
In the U.S. they are hard to find in the stores, but they have them on Amazon.

We handed out Skittles and Starburst this year. We didn’t have many trick or treaters. Our road doesn’t have sidewalks and people drive crazy! But some teenagers came and cleaned out the candy bowl 😂🎃

Any snack or mini size candy bars or packets of candy like skittles, etc... are perfect for Halloween. Some people do homemade treats, but due to the times, they aren't as widely welcomed anymore, sadly. I had an older gentleman neighbor when I was young, who would give out dimes and pencils for Halloween. Some people make up little goodie bags for trick or treaters. Individual wrapped pieces of bubble gum are always a winner. All types of lollipops. Just whatever you wanna hand out, so long as its storebought, and individually wrapped.
For Halloween, I tend to give out candy alternatives. This year was playdoh, slim jims, mini bags (lunch sized) of multiple popcorn varieties, pencils and fruit. I think it's the specific items offered that prevents getting egged or tp'd. It's not like there are toothbrushes and dental floss in the bowl! I figure that any child that WANTS fruit should get it.

It's either funny or sad, but I have a story about spice wafers. Me, my mom, and my younger sister by five years all love those cookies. My dad who was in Philly for police training sent my sister 3 boxes for her birthday. My mother had opened the package because the majority of the delivery was for her as their birthdays are 23 and 24th of that month. My mother got a necklace. So, she pulls me aside and whispers "I have one of your sister's cookies, wanna split it with me?" Normally, I'd say no it isn't right. But she's been plucking my nerves and my mom's for 2 months. So I said sure. So here we are eating a row of cookies to ourselves in secret. All the while, my sister is saying "I smell spice wafers" because she had eaten her's ages ago. It was hilarious, she was none the wiser. Until she'd read over my father's card and noticed it said 3 boxes. My mother took the wrap for it saying she ate it all herself.😄

the last mystery flavor last year was fruity pebbles. the mystery Oreos I mean. my daughter loves the sour cream and onion Ritz chips. and the dip that was on the bag, is sour cream and onion dip. That's also a thing here in the US

The Snyder's honey mustard and onion are my absolute favorite I used to eat the small bag from the Dollar Tree convenience store and while I didn't like spending a dollar for such a small bag I had to search them down in the grocery and get the much larger one they are definitely a guilty pleasure!
Omg I love the hazelnut filled m&ms!!! They came out around April of this year! I don’t eat them much cuz I can’t have too much sugar but I love the shareable size bag of these.

The spice cookies from Philadelphia are one of our favorite and you can only get them in the fall at certain stores. We dip them in cold milk so they are not so hard.

You'd be amazed at how much flavor it brings out in different foods I like a lot of old bay but if you really dont like the spice use only a little bit cc a little still goes a long way. :)

I have a local store called Macey's that carries huge bags of the Frooties candy. Each bag is only one flavor and my favorites are blue raspberry and cherry. 🍒 We had a Rocket Fizz store, but it shut down after just 2 years. 😥

You should definitely come and visit Philly. We have some great food and lots of history in our city. If you ever do come this way, you’ll have to do a Wawa reaction. Wawa is like a convenience store but with made to order food. It’s so good! Plus you need to try an authentic cheesesteak (Jim’s on South Street are the best) and soft pretzels. Amazing!
