+LP187q I re-watched the video, and in the first in-car clip it looks like they only had the 8.50 cage in the car. Maybe that was the first time they went under 8.50, because the exterior shots after that definitely do show they added the "funny car" cage pieces that are required for sub-8.50. That is the part I missed the first time I watched it. It's just CRAZY to see a sub-8.50 FWD car!!!
you know Speed factorys civic ran a 7.8 @190 in April at IFO. it beat it's record again which I'm not exactly sure on that time, but it's faster than this civic.
Hey Austin, i think you are thinking of "Outlaw" not "SFWD". No SFWD car has gone 7s yet. The "Outlaw" cars have gone 7s. This video was posted in April when KKT held the most recent record. It has since been beat by another racer and is currently sitting at 8.229 vs this car's quickest pass of 8.232 (0.003 sec difference). Its a very close race for "Fastest SFWD" right now which makes it an exciting time for racing!
Shawn Ramey currently holds the SFWD record. (Today is 3/15/2017) with an 8.18. No SFWD car has gone 7s yet. It will be a big deal when a SFWD car goes 7s, and everyone will be talking about it. There are fwd cars that go 7s. but they are not SFWD class cars, and cannot run in SFWD events.

Very nice setup, but I think SFR has since went 8.0 @ 200 in SFWD trim. I believe it's on the same turbo too; 7285. Nonetheless great passes.

REALSTREETPERFTV They run at about 1763 pounds, on methanol. I think there's no restriction for turbo size.
FLD class in Brazil is similar to Hot Rod class in U.S.
Speedfactory is faster.
