At this point in 2011, Canford Cliffs was the best horse Frankel had beaten at a mile, but top to bottom this was the deepest field Frankel had beaten, IMO. Excelebration, Immortal Verse, Dick Turpin, Poet's Voice, & Dubawi Gold all quality horses in their own right made to look no more than average that day at Ascot. But then again, Frankel made a lot of quality horses in a lot of different fields look that way.
Often wonder, what we would have seen if frankel had not been ridden by such a muppet. Tom Queally could have been supplanted by a bag of sand and frankel would have been ridden with greater aplomb...
Hes not a tit. This was a terrible ride. Made to look easy because of frankels class. The jockey almost seems to panic at half way. Like he was worried the pace maker wasn't coming back to them. He could have sat longer and swept past the final furlong and a half. But no he took the rest of the pack along a full 4 and a half furlongs out.
