There are so many cameras on the market that live streamers use, it can sometimes be hard to determine which camera is right for you and your needs. On top of that, outside of the most popular cameras used for streaming, it's hard to know what types of cameras are even available. Like the PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) camera options out there. The normal use for a PTZ camera is often in churches, bigger venues, and event centers. But a PTZ camera also has some fantastic uses for live streamers as well.
So in this video, I'll be talking about the Chameye NDI PTZ camera and how I use it in my streaming setup in some really cool ways. I'll also show you what comes in the box and go through some of the biggest features it offers.

Great work on all the explanations in this movie!!! I'm using the chameye c720n camera in my OBS setup and PTZ is working as a charm now... How did u manage to get those PTZ buttons on ur streamdeck ?
I actually used the stream deck button graphics you can get from the StreamDeck marketplace. I believe those were the emoji themed buttons.
I bought the same camera with the controller. How did you reverse the image when it was hanging upside.
You need to go into the settings of the camera and turn on the image mirror feature to flip the image. You may have to flip it both horizontally and vertically.

I was wondering why not more streamers or in general UA-camrs don't use more PTZ camera in general. Usually their video quality is really high and they are an all in one solution for a lot of scenarios. Obsbot just recently released their Tail Air and that seemed to have caught the eye of some streamers but im looking at some PTZ options to use as my main camera. I feel like i would get more use out of them vs. a mirrorless camera and the picture quality is nearly identical for way less money spent. Plus u can adjust them on the go much more convenient. I think they are totally underrated. What's your opinion for people that start out newly. Would u recommend a PTZ over a basic mirrorless camera?
Well, it really depends on your use case. I think for streaming and content creation that will be done in the same room, PTZ cameras make a lot of sense. They provide a lot of flexibility without the need to move them around. However, if you will ever need to move the camera around, mirrorless DSLRs are more more portable and often provide the highest quality and you can buy various lenses to further change the look and feel of your videos.
And those are just a few differences. Ultimately, it really boils down to what is going to make the most sense for your particular situation. I think DSLRs make great first cameras but I can also see where a PTZ camera would be a great first camera as well.
@EagleGarrett well my content would be limited to my home studio. I mean if I wanted to do some outdoor content the Obsbot Tail Air can do both and actually very good from what I've seen in its reviews. And $500 isn't too bad of a hit into your wallet like a mirrorless camera would be. Yes their quality will be a little higher and it's more flexible due to the lens options but I mean I've seen some content creators even make excellent stuff with just their cellphone cameras.nI was looking also at the Tenveo VLoop 4k and its also another interesting PTZ option. Just not as portable. Needs a power source.
@@yourAVGconsumer Yeah, I mean in that case, the Tail Air might be the perfect choice! It has everything kinda all in one and really good quality for the price. I'd say that sounds like a winner. I have a whole video on the Trail Air if you haven't seen it yet. Check it out!
