Video Description: One of my favorite details from Zelda Breath of the Wild and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom are these small 2D hearts that are found on some of the houses in Hateno village. They might even be found in other parts of Hyrule. I always thought these would look absolutely lovely made in gold. Using a laser engraver, I was able to make the heart design and engrave the heart, then cut the heart shape in 14K gold. - Навчання та стиль

When you use file and saw you can collect gold particles. Does the laser evaporate the gold?
This machine as a dust recovery system that is pretty strong and has 2 vacuums. I’m not sure how much is evaporated vs turns to dust, but there is definitely dust!

What happens to the gold that gets burned out with the laser?? Vaporized? Can you recycle any of it?
There are two vacuum hoses just out of frame that collect any gold dust that goes shooting in the air. I do imagine some of it is...vaporized? haha

It’s crazy to me that people just have access to this amount of gold. My goblin brain tells me you have to go out into the world to find gold and then bring into back yourself before you can start working on it.

Do you know how much (mass/weight and worth) gold was lost during engraving? Is laser engraving large areas economical?
Can you laser engraver to spot welding? Vice having to solder the rings closed with a torch.

Not sure how much was lost. There is a vacuum system attached to capture dust and material. This is a marking/engraving machine so it does not do welding. That machine is also on my list....

amazed it cuts so well, but it has great potential. But where does the vapourised gold go? Is it deposited all over the inside of the cutter, or is is vented and caught?
This laser has a dust recovery system with two vacuums that will catch any dust or material that it can.
