Just picked up the final pair of skis for my quiver. I realized that the two pairs I had, did not address my need for something appropriate for a 8 or more inch snowfall, so when I found a new pair of 2024 Volkl Blaze 106 skis, with Marker Griffon gripwalk 13 bindings for $389.99 before tax, I jumped on the deal.

I want to say check out moment skis! but i dont think you get demo them unless you go to reno or SLC for demos.
I currently ski the Atomic Maverick 95Ti east coast (exclusively Sugerloaf). Would you see it to be worthwhile to include the 100ti in the quiver for the occasional excursion to Utah and those “day after” east coast storm days when things get trashed out?
Being the frugal guy that I am, I often wait until Evo gets very low in their inventory for the item I want (they tell you on the site) and then buy. Evo will give you the price difference back if the same item in the same size gets a price reduction within 30 days. Not a fan of Nordica boots? They have some great deals on Pro Machine and Speed Machine boots as well ($419-$489).
I am glad you put Stockli Montero AR in the mix.. I am a Stockli person and Stockli people are a thing;) I normally ski 175-184 but these skis would be great when there are a ton of people on the ski hill so I would ski them at 170..
I have been looking into getting mittens from EVO and I will try to use your link if I buy some..
Also, why don't you put the link for the places that you demo your skis? I had success with demoing from Christy Sports and Alpine Sports.. Gotta give luv to the places that help us out..

The sales on ski equipment made me do a VERY BAD THING!!!
I found the Völkl Mantra 102s for $480.
AAAAAAAAND….i found the matching Marker Jester 16 bindings for $220!!!
$700 for a pair of Volkl Mantra 102s WITH bindings (good ones)!
I’ll have to pay to get the bindings mounted, $100 local, so a complete set for $800….I’m happy. And broke.
Now to get phantom applied.
BTW - that’s a great next video. What is your take on the phantom perma treatment?
Hoping to test it out in the coming season, what's the best way, do you do it yourself?

@@RicketySkiReviews when I got my Kendo’s, I had Phantom applied. I still have a 5’YO set of Head Kores that have wax.
And I didn’t notice a difference. So I think the peace of mind that you never have to wax, is nice. And I understand you can still wax if you want.
What are your thoughts on ski deals on brand new skis between 2-4 years old for newer skiiers.
Will wait for the fall. If it's going same way. Will get even cheaper. Hopefully sizes still there
Evo and REI have a one year return policy. So you can buy now and have the boots you want in case the price this fall is more. Just keep in mind that many more boots at getting the bottom Boa system in the 2025 boots that will be out this fall.
