  • Last riding season my Goldwing developed a leak from the front fork seals. I replaced them, but I did not have a proper fork seal driver and only managed to damage the left one during the installation. Now that I have a proper tool, I go back and replace the left one. This video shows the procedure I found easiest for me, considering the conditions and the tools I have.

Nice! I came for the front tire removal part but learned a fork seal job isn't as scary as I thought

I'm sure you heard about the weak connection between the stator and the wiring harness but wanted to make sure, it's next to the battery. Not
an ideal location the connector could have been of better quality, I had to replace the stator because the connection corroded and didn't notice it until the resistance got so high the it took out the stator expensive to say the least. My recommendation is to hard wire it with the same guage wire soldered and shrink wrapped put a other 60,000 miles on the bike with no problems. LOVED that bike no other problems.

Yep, that’s the first thing I checked when I got the bike. It had already been hardwired, so I didn’t have to worry about it 👍

Have a question? What seals the air line that pressurized the forks and where is it located? Does the fork leg require to lined up to headset in a specific fashion?

It’s located in the triple T. There’s a circular groove inside the bracket, which lines up with the small air hole in the fork. There’s no need to line it up, as the groove is circular. The fork is held in the correct position by the two ring clips. Hope this helps.
