Brother you really handed out some good info on these general maintenance items for this bike. I always wanted to own a '84 or '85 naked or "standard" version of this bike just never found one when I had the money to buy one. You and the boy seem to work well together.😁

Hi enjoyed the video. I owned a 86 Aspencade with 36k. The owner had just done the timng belt(a nightmare from what Im told) I paid around 3g. Bike was very clean minor wear. It had the driver backrest and some other add ons. One dislike was the color maroon and tan. I put around 25k in 2 years. It had the"notorious handlebar shake around 60moh and would disappear around 70. I heard it was a common problen on theses models. The fork seals were good and pressurized properly. Another issue that usually occured was after long rides. Such as a 400 mike trip feom Boston to NY. It had the shaft drive that was maintained every year. What would happen after long highway straight run then when gwttin closser to home on side streets on turns I would feel a type of binding feom rear. IDK if that was a common issue and being the low mileage and previous owner maintainance I juat dealt with it and took it slow around turns. I advised the new owner of these quirks and he was none to worried. Another problem that were common problems from factory stupidity was the magnito failure. That also was a time consuming expensive repaire. There is an easy preventive fix(posted on ebay someware) that I advise you address before your outsourcing a new magnito for a faulty 4 cent wire. I still have my first new bike 1979 suzuki GS1000L chain drive. After selling goldwing I bought a truly mint 93 HD Ultra Glide Candy edition. I dropped a valve(i think) running lean(outofgas) on highway and the harleys roller rocker pins gave out and just bought a 1340 totally rebuilt. That was years ago and evertrome I think of openinf my toolbox my lower back spasms feom the thought. Anyway dig your white honda and would love to have another one day. Be sage. Peace. Andy

I had a 1982 Honda cb900c, it out ran my coworkers 2014 103 wide glide with a stage 1 with no problem at all, his bike didn't stand a chance, the gl1200 has a little more power than the cb900c did and not to much more weight, it would take a pretty good modified Harley to out run it, low end torque though the Harley has that won, but for passing I don't think it will beat the Goldwing, maybe I am wrong

hello guys are these engines horizontaly opposed or boxer engines ?. i thought that ho engines shared crank journals for opposed cylinders, so the crankshaft on a 4cyl would only have 2 conrod journals.
boxers differing in the fact that each rod has its OWN journal so a 4cyl box engine would have 4 rod journals im confused as i see these mc engines reffered to as both types.please help someone smart . thankyou
