Fun fact: The "strange green bell" is called a "Dotaku"! They're these bronze bell shaped objects made during the Yayoi period of Japanese history, roughly 200 BCE to 200 CE. Because they predate the advent of writing in Japan, we're not quite sure what they were for (since despite being bell shaped, they don't really have any acoustic properties), but it's assumed it was used for agricultural rituals. It's also the basis of Bronzong from Pokemon!

Facts. I'm well aware it's kinda weird to play AWL as if it's a game with checklists, but the beauty and poetry of the story aren't lost on me lol

Second of all, I forgot how bittersweet the ending Story of Seasons AWL is, it truly is unique in it's own special way even with it's flaws and I wish more games could do something like what AWL did.
Yeah, I'm a big fan of games with an actual "story" for the lack of a better term, especially when there are multiple endings lol

hey! really love your bokumono content, great work :D as someone who also is looking into 100%ing this game, i was wondering how you managed to befriend everyone so quickly in the first video (multiple gifts? i don't know the rules on how multiple gifts work), and if you had any notes or a spreadsheet you were referencing during the process that you would be willing to share (aside from the crop guide ofc)! i'm someone who needs to have notes in front of me to keep my head straight, and a lot of the resources available are kind of all over the place haha. really enjoy your videos man!!
Absolutely, I can share some stuff. First and foremost; gifting. I was able to befriend everyone in the first year by solely focusing on that. Most villagers can accept up to 4 gifts a day, as long as those gifts are in "different categories." It's hard to describe which gifts fall into what category, but the most simple way of explaining it is that almost every villager will accept a flower, animal produce, dig site item, cooked meal, or fish per day. As long as you have enough of those, you could cycle in between them and try to give them to every villager once per day and you'll befriend them in no time.

I have a theory about the next remake being magical melody because in Vesta’s like storehouse they have like “to flower bud village/from mineral town” boxes but… they use the goddess spring track from animal parade so I don’t know anymore 😭

So, first off: I'd rather fight 100 duck-sized horses. If I can get to higher ground than they can follow, they'd be easy enough to shake off since they can't fly.

At the point where I was, eggs really had no utility. They are super useful to gift to villagers, but they're too cheap to be an effective money maker and I already befriended everyone lol

I would TRY to fight the one horse-sized duck, cause I would just love to see that kind of a majestic duck. I would probably try to befriend it though.

Gotta go with 100 duck sized horses. Horses are just large bags of anxiety on weird long fingers and most of their power comes from their size. By making them the size of ducks their main advantage has been removed and their kicks and stomps would be much less effective. I may come away with shattered feet and some broken legs but I'd survive.
Ducks on the other hand can be vicious in their normal size, giving them back the size they once had as avian dinosaurs is a surefire way to end up with chunks missing from your body if you manage to survive.
Another major factor is that while horses are herbivores that will very occasionally eat meat or animal products, ducks are omnivores with the teeth to prove it.
I appreciate the ferocity in detail. Having a horse sized duck would still be metal though if you could tame it lol

I would fight one hundred duck sized horses because realistically speaking the most dangerous thing about horses is their size. You could punt a tiny horse and it would instantly spontaneously combust because horses are one of the worst built animals in nature.

I’d take on 100 Duck Sized Horses. The first reason is to see how ridiculous it looks. The second reason is because it’s very easy to injure a horse. Especially if they’re that small.

I love watching these videos! I'm currently working towards 100% completing Harvest Moon: Light of Hope in Summer Year 2 but I don’t think I'll have it all done until Year 4 or 5 in game 😮💨 But I love the amount of crops, flowers, and dishes the game has.

100 duck sized horses still have manpower because horses are super strong to begin with, and 1 horse sized duck would have dragon like flight capabilities due to it's mass. I'm going with the duck because no matter what I'm done for, so at least it'll end quickly

Jack, you make me want to start a simuliar series but for something else... any advice on what programs to use for recording / editing / prep work? I really enjoy your videos -- that make me happy.
No. 1: Thanks for watching! I'm glad you like my stuff!
No. 2: Here are my recommendations; for recording gameplay, I use OBS. I play on PC so it's easy enough to capture the game, but if you have a console like a switch, you'll need a capture card. For editing, I use Adobe Premiere Pro, but it isn't free. If you're looking for a free non-linear video editing software, I highly recommend Davinci Resolve. It'll take some time to learn, but it's free version is unmatched. And for prep work, my creative process works like this; Research everything I need to do, Play the game, do a cursory edit by just selecting clips from footage to create the "story," write and record the script, match up the clips to the recorded script, then do a couple rounds of polishing where I add in background music, sound effects, and graphic edits. I always save the intro and outro portions for last so that way I know exactly what to tell the viewer pre and post video. Hope this helps!

I never bothered to make blue crops in the original but i definitely feel more compelled now, so getting the great field is definitely gonna feel more necessary than just being able to grow more crops.
i recently started back up on my lets play after like a year of not playing and most of it is me being like " I don't remember " and " oh ya :0 " haha
@@StarlightBettaGamer Lol i feel that way even when I don't play for a couple weeks. I'm a very forgetful individual. The blue fruits are a fun novelty. They're used in a couple recipes, but they don't really sell for a crazy amount once your into year 2
