I’m crying right now. Seeing Urasawa’s art in a modern animation style, and I’ve been waiting for this since 2017. I thought the project had been cancelled for so long, but here it is. October can’t come fast enough.

I’ve watched monster and have been a fan of Urasawa’s amazing storytelling. I don’t know anything about Pluto but Urasawa being the creator, and the character similarities I see from Monster is enough to tell me.
@@tunmiseowoade462 It is based on Astro boy ( tetsuwa no atom in Japan) a classic anime and manga series created by Osamu Tezuka, who is considered the god of manga and the Walt Disney from Japan.
And people for some reason say old animes are better when anime has clearly gotten way better now in pretty much every aspect

As a lifelong Astro Boy fan, I cannot wait until this comes out. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Pluto so I’m so excited to see how Naoki Urasawa has adapted Tezuka’s story as his own.

If you're really a fan of Astroboy you should even read Pluto now, it's a true masterpiece I can't define it any different. She is excellent and highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a good story. In fact, of all Urasawa's works I consider it the best because he handles the suspense and the plot in the same way as 20th Century Boys or Monster but being slightly lighter and more enjoyable.

@@symphonixblades Astro Boy has darker content now and again in it's original manga. There's a whole great story about him going back into time and influencing his own creation while also battling with a time that has no means of helping his charge up and facing his own mortality as a result, all from a tiny alien he found.

Not Billy Bat. BB is the weakest Urasawa work. It's a total mess and the characters all kinda suck. I especially have a big problem with Kevin Goodman who had plenty of opportunities to stop the problem in the real world (like, by simply taking over from his dad) but chose to keep drawing instead. They should instead do the Urasawa classic Master Keaton.

@@andrewsuryali8540 a lot of Master Keaton was written by someone else while Urasawa did the art. At certain point he took over writing duties as well. A better one would be 20th Century Boys... while I think 21st Century boys was kinda weak, undoubtedly 20th Century boys was amazing and deserves an anime adaption.

Pluto is one of the most underappreciated manga ever, I'm excited to see it come to life in anime. If you're afraid that this is just another cynical "dark version" of an old property, don't worry, this is not that.
This story is the ONLY manga that makes me cry every time I reread it. It’s incredibly moving.
This story is phenomenal. When I read this manga I was left speechless by how well it was written and drawn, definitely a masterpiece.
I hope in some years we will have an adaptation of 20 Century Boys
Pluto will definitely take the anime industry by storm, and will raise the bar when it comes to animation and story quality

The manga is about robots with I.A Who act like humans.
You can see the dedication and passion that they put into this anime, I say it as a person who hardly knows anything about Astroboy, I hope to see it soon when it premieres.
An interesting fact, Uran's seiyū is Minori Suzuki who is Liko's seiyū in Pokémon Horizons and also Regina the girl who had the overprotective Glaceon in Pokémon Journeys hopefully they will give her more important characters in the future.

20th century boys is just too fucking long to be adapted but yeah its very good but i think it has a lot of loopholes and the 2nd part of the story (after time skip) is just decent but not better than before😅

How not a lot of people have been talking about this I don’t understand. Naoki Urasawa is a freaking genius the fact that the Pluto anime is finally coming out this year is not only amazing but gives me so much hope for a potential 20th century boys adaptation. 20th century boys is tied to One Piece as my favorite manga of all time and Pluto is up there as well. The day we get a 20th century boys adaptation I will cry but for now…I will take Pluto! This adaptation looks PERFECT and it will get a ton of attention and I am praying that this will get more people to check out more of Urasawas works ESPECIALLY 20th century boys (Monster is just as good as well don’t get me wrong)

I've admired so many of Urasawa's works. Specifically drawing a deep love for Monster. The story and characters flow so well you could swear it was a real story. Our universe suddenly becomes one and the same to the books.
Tezuka, as a pioneer for his craft, has always had special place in my heart. Giving us fun entertainment like Astro Boy and thought-provoking pieces like Message to Adolf. He showed me that creators don't need to have one genre to work in. We can write funny, we can write seriously, and sometimes it's okay to mash two genres together!
And the same can be applied to creators. Both creators have been inspiration to me for years, working separately. Bringing Urasawa and Tezuka together wasn't something I knew I wanted. And the fruits of their labor are so sweet to enjoy.
Among the many thoughts and feelings, I got while reading, Pluto was always a story that kept me thinking about humanities advancements. From the stone age to the future space age. We have never stopped building our world. The fool who deludes himself to think we can go no further will never see humanities true potential. It's amazing to think about where our advancements will lead us. Will they be our saving grace? Our downfall? We can't know for sure. We just have to keep going towards the future and hope it doesn't blow up in our faces. We'll never know how far we can go until something eventually stops us. And even then, who knows, we may find a way to work around the stopping factor to continue onwards.
If you read all that, to make a long, neurodivergent driven, explanation short... I'm so excited for this show to come out.
The Urasawa greatness is back!
Urasawa's art style with modern animation feels so refreshing. Makes me wanna re-watch Monster to be honest.

Oh my Gosh…I know absolutely NOTHING about this but the fact that it’s Urasawa has me already hooked. The way I see the character and art style similarities with Monster too. I feel like this story being animated in this age goes well with the plot because it’s in a futuristic era.

@@Zero_Testerit’s not a prequel it’s a retelling of The Greatest Robot on Earth mini arc. From what I understand Gesicht and the other robots get much more development then they did in the original Astro Boy story.

Seeing Urasawa's beautiful art animated is a treat on an other level. God I wish they animate 20th Century Boy in my lifetime.

The build up of the entire trailer, the theme of this narrative, the simplistic and cartoonishly-looking title (Plus, the U is Classic Pluto’s horns), and… *the choir.* Oh my all-high Yod, THE CHOIR! It truly feels like the dark prime rebirth of a vibrant veteran classic. Bravo, PLUTO Team!

Anime on Netflix have never been ahead of their time. Bastard failed to make an impact on anime fans. Anime fans prefer anime as anime, not as Netflix content. Also, Netflix has been shutting down subscribers who watch content with family and friends.

I'm so fkin hyped for this! Tetsuwan Atom was my frikkin childhood! I was saddened to my very core when I learned that their atom the beginning manga hit hiatus, but seeing that now pluto is being adapted and so many legendary artists are coming together for it! Just gives me hope!

The story is so engaging, there is not even a filler like Element that was there in Monster in few episodes... Only if they adapt it as it is from Manga.
This is Urasawa's TOP 5 work! Also, the story has influence from the GOAT Tezuka Osamu... I know it won't get the hype like Shonen anime but there is no way it is not gonna be on Top 10 list for a year!

I always knew that if this was made into an anime that it would be amazing! I'm so excited. I read the manga about 8 years ago now and it was so enthralling, tense, and impactful. This spin on the Astro Boy manga is the most unique reimagining of anything I've seen.

This trailer is freaking awesome! Although... I didn't like it showing what happens to Astro later on. All in all, I really like the character designs especially Astro cause I'm glad that he looks more human! I can rest easy now cause I'll know that Astro-kun is finally more like a human!

Un dato interesante la seiyu de Uran es Minori Suzuki quien es seiyu de Liko en Horizontes Pokémon y tambien Regina la chica que tenía al Glaceon sobreprotector en La serie Viajes Pokémon ojalá le den mas personajes importantes en el futuro.

This looks like something I haven't seen in a long time, a genuine anime.
Finally.
There are two things I remember about this series.
One is that it made some murricans seethe ("how dare you question the lies we tell for our wars of agression?!").
The other thing is that I remember who is the "real villain" in the story I can't help but laugh nervously. (but Urasawa is not wrong about that)
Eh, I was fine with the villain twist since the concluding chapters implied that the American or “Eagle Land” military industrial complex had grown too large for the president to have any hope to control is a much more nuanced message than “American military bad”. It was a harsh truth a lot of liberal minded people had to contend with during the Obama administration that a lot of people today still struggle to grasp.

This looks like an enhancement on some of the best 80/90's anime style in the best way. Everything from the story, characters, art, animation, and music seems masterfully done.
