My assumption is no. They know they have Kendre Miller who is hungrier and who wants to prove why he deserves a contract like AK's. Saints know they have leverage and will shop him to the best bidder which could possibly be a 1st rounder in the 2025 draft or maybe even more just to cut their losses. Losing AK is going to hurt but not as much as extending him and keeping him around with the way he has handled himself in the off season and his performance on the field.
This team did Jimmy Graham (and Olave, Shaheed, and Kamara) dirty last year. Mr. Graham is a guaranteed touchdown machine and he is TRUE to the CULTURE. We need Mr. Graham. That brother is out here living his BEST life but he would love to return to the dome and stunt with us! I want my Golden Graham!! LFG!!

I’m sorry, but all the Saints media is shilling for AK.
It comes down to one simple thing, does Kubiak think AK can be successful in this offense?
If he does, the Saints should redo his deal give him some more guarantees & some incentives, because he’ll probably have a career year.
If Kubiak doesn’t think AK will be successful than they need to trade/cut move on from AK immediately.
If Kubiak needs to see more, like when the teams in pads, before making a decision on AK, than you can’t adjust the contract until camp.
Here’s the part that the Saints media isn’t factoring or discussing for whatever reason, NOTHING AK has done previously matters or is predictive to what AK can do in this offense.
The Kubiak/Shanahan run game, is more specific to a player’s skill set than any other WestCoast Offense run game, it requires RB’s that are almost intuitively good in it.
I’ve never seen a RB who was bad in it get any better, it’s not something you “learn”.
As the play stretches, choosing the correct hole, isn’t something that can be taught, you either can do it or you can’t.
You also have to anticipate the hole, make the one cut & have the ability to accelerate through the hole.
Also, I haven’t seen it, but Kendre Miller struggling in the offense & Jordan Mims getting 1st team reps, leads me to believe Kendre may be a bad fit for this offense & Jordan Mims may be more natural in it, which means, the Saints need to move on from Kendre immediately!
If Kendre is still on the team in preseason, I can tell you in one game if Kendre’s a fit for this offense or not.

@@dougbeers6123 it really depends on what Kubiak thinks, if he believes Kamara will be successful in the Offense that’s great.
Here’s the problem with the Kubiak/Shanahan Run game.
Often it’s an undrafted RB who is really great at it, because it really is “instinctual”, think of how many RB’s have come out of nowhere to put up 200 yard rushing games & 1,000+ yard seasons for those old Bronco teams & Shanahan’s teams?
The negative, however, these RB’s might not have the same experience in the passing game, running routes, catching passes, etc. & almost always have little to no experience in Pass protection.
RB’s that are highly drafted & very successful in standard offenses will usually be further along in developing these skill sets in the pass game.

@@MosheGoldbergTheKing It could be? I’ve seen way too many Shanahan/Kubiak Offenses where the incumbent ProBowl RB or high draft pick by weak 3 is on the bench & a RB from the practice squad, no one has ever heard of, is putting up 200 yard rushing games, that no one drafted in Fantasy.
Was Christian McCaffrey good in this offense? YES, so Alvin kamara could definitely be very good in this offense, plus kubiak loves A.K so there's that too

I’ve been saying all along that it depends on what AK is asking for. If what he wants is guaranteed money for this year and something similar for next year then that’s essentially a one year extension since he was playing this year anyway. I’m totally down if that’s the case.

If the Saints don't secure and guarantee Kamara--the soul of the team and of the offence--the franchise is carving its own coffin. At present, our team is about 60%carrbage/Raider-rejects--and growing. What message does this send to our players, the Who Dat Nation, and our opponents? With D'Wrecked Carr and Dennis "Turd in the Punchbowl" Allen, we are not a threat or even a concern--let alone contenders. The Saints' decision regarding Kamara will determine whether this franchise chooses to be the New Orleans Saints or the Louisiana Losers. There has been copious chatter from floating carrbage in the comments and it seems many members of Saints press have been paid to push certain agendas. Once the Louisiana Losers are finally flushed and the carrbage drifts like floatsam and jetsam into retirement/irrelevance with Carr, Will there still be a Saints franchise?
