The John C. Martin Memorial Lectureship at Scripps Research was conceived as an annual event where colleagues, friends and family could gather to honor John Martin’s life and celebrate notable scientific advancements.
This one-day symposium brings together representatives from academia and industry to facilitate productive collaborations with the potential to impact global health.
This year's event featured notable speaker Owen N. Witte, MD, of University of California, Los Angeles, who discussed his work on human leukemias, immune disorders, and epithelial cancer stem cells, and renowned biophysicist Xiaowei Zhuang, PhD, of Harvard University, who shared about her fascinating cutting-edge molecular imaging methods.
