I picked up some of the tenacious glint tape and put a strip on my pack's side pockets and below the front mesh pocket. It doesn't take much light for the tape to shine in the dark. Also put a couple of strips on your food bag so you can see it in the early morning or if you need to check on it at night.
Hey Jeremiah. I just learn about your channel from the Live Ultralight Podcast where you and Bridgette were guests. I loved listening to you guy talk about your Camino experience. My wife and I just got off the Camino this month ourselves (where she did the first 100 km with me) and that podcast could not have been more timely. When you guys were talking, I was like “us too” the whole time. It was great. I just wanted to drop you a quick comment to say hi and tell you and tell you how I’m looking forward to all your upcoming video posts from your Camino experience. You guys just got me as a subscriber. I video’s my whole experience on the Camino too and will be posting long format videos soon. In the meantime, I posted shorts. If you have a minute, check me out. I’m just getting started on my UA-cam channel journey. You know how that is. Anyway. I’ve watched few of your videos already and am so excited to have found your channel.
Make sure you research what type of gear you need. First time backpacking last year and we took the wrong stuff and too much. Packs where way to heavy. This year way much better.
Test all gear on a non remote day trip before a backpacking trip. I know better and took a new pack on my most recent 50 mile backpacking trip (conclusion-its not the right pack for me). I have scars on both leg/hip creases from the pack. Thank goodness for superskin. Wish i had put it on sooner. Stayed on the entire trip.
Good advice about hydration. Haven’t tried that one yet. In this heat, you gotta hydrate! Is that stained glass hanging in the window of your studio? I like it!
Good tips Jeremiah, I know your not a doctor, but do you or anyone in the community know if you can drink Element w/salt if you have high blood pressure controlled by meds? Thinking about the sodium levels.
I'd check with the doctor, but different people need different amounts of sodium due to what their specific sweat consists of. Could be a good fit, but I'd only use it if you were going to be in a situation where you are prone to becoming dehydrated. Not necessarily at home on the regular
Great advice as always, Jeremiah. It's been a minute since you uploaded, you must have been busy. BTW where is that footage from near the beginning of the video with the sheep? Looked like the UK. Have you been over visiting us? Thanks again for uploading. 👍
For backpacking AND daily life I like the headlamp for visibility idea. I keep one in my car console but never thought to wear it in the daytime for visibility (like when changing a tire) but it makes perfect sense. Like a daytime running lights on a car!
You said it best hike at your own pace love you vids
Really appreciate it :D
Smart tips, really important and thank you!!! The headlamp ideas are genius.
Glad it was helpful!
Bear in the car was wild!! Who’s the cool guy at 1:27 mark 😁. Good tip on road walking.

Good tip. Tough lesson to learn

Fantastic presentation bud, great tips!
Thank you so much :D
I've see so many hikers on UA-cam that walk with there backs to traffic.
Definitely not a good idea.
Very dangerous
# 6 was the most original and helpful for me. Thanks.
Glad to hear that!

Thank you, but I think it's only my computer monitor sadly
The Camino Clips were Cool!
Thank you! Takes me down memory lane

I use it with my doc's blessing. Just have to be sure it's not just used for a regular drink, but for rehydration. On Valsartin-HCTZ 80-12.5.
@@PopPopTN thanks

That was from over in Spain. We did the Camino de Santiago French Way this summer

Good thinking keeping it in the car
