    One thing I forgot to mention is when you explore you move into the first zone of the new tile

    This video is great, have watched multiple videos and this is the only one I have found that answered a few questions that I could not find in the rulebook. I particularly like the graphic overlays that show how the totals are calculated, nice and clear no confusion.

    Thanks for the great vid! I ended a standard crawl yesterday on the east side of the board. Is it stated anywhere in the rulebook that the standard delve is required to end on the north side of the board? I am not seeing that in the description of the delve. Simply states you must cross the threshold. This was the second standard crawl of the session that I played and it was by far the longest and dangerous so I am not too worried, but it would be nice to have some clarification.
    Really really enjoying this purchase so far though, despite the rules being a bit muddy in places.

      Glad you enjoyed the video, it isn’t explicitly stated in the rules anywhere I could see I had to look up some forums online and one of the designers said that the standard crawl starts on the south and you only can exit from the north. A dead end is caused by any tile placed over the threshold on the west or east of the board. Better clarification in the rulebook would definitely be nice.
      Glad to hear you’re enjoying the game so far :).

    You mentioned twice that the exit token is placed when reaching the board border, but the rules state that the token is placed when a tile is placed that crosses the printed fold line in the middle of the board.

    Thanks for the video! How are you enjoying the game? I haven’t started yet and was wondering if I need to jump onto the Bardsung Local Legends late pledge.

      I need to get going on a review for this game lol. so far I find it to be pretty good, I find it to be a little easy though my characters seemed to get overpowered really early. Im currently on chapter 7 and I have already found it to be quite repetitive too unfortunately, while there’s a lot of enemies, a lot of them feel the same. The story seems good so far though and for me boss encounters are what makes the game.
      If youre looking for a more laid back game like zombiecide where you’re just drinking beer and rolling a ton of dice then I’d recommend this but if you’re looking for a complex strategy game like mage knight or gloomhaven then this probably wouldn’t be the game for you.

    Wow, why use a rulebook if you can have such a well-made and detailed video. Thank you very much for all the work.
    I am thinking about getting Bardsung, and this video makes it seem like a fun game. Now, I only have to figure out if it is really as horribly grindy as people say.

    • @fatherofgames9239
      @fatherofgames9239  Рік тому +1

      Thanks so much I appreciate that,
      Bardsung definitely isn’t a bad game, definitely a lot of dice rolling and it can get a little repetitive for sure, but you can always skip some not story related crawls and the boss encounters are a lot of fun.

    Amazing tutorial! But doesn’t the start consist of tree doors that can be closed and start open?

    • @fatherofgames9239
      @fatherofgames9239  2 роки тому +1

      Hey thanks so much, yes it absolutely does I forgot to put the doors out when putting new tiles out but I had them when going over the end step and echo token movement, good eye though I definitely should have had them out when going over everything to avoid confusion.

    Can you do a fables tutorial as well? Also for the nodes in a chapter after you beat one and it allows you to go back (solid line) do you have to replay that node or can you go down a branching path.

    • @fatherofgames9239
      @fatherofgames9239  2 роки тому

      I 100% would, but I don’t currently have fables I only bought the retail edition of Bardsung unfortunately.
      As for your question I couldn’t find that in the rulebook but I am almost 100% sure you don’t. once a node is completed you don’t replay it if you come up to it again, for the ones with text that needs to be read it wouldn’t make any sense to have to read the same thing over again when replaying nodes. I apologize I couldn’t give you a definite answer but I am quite confident you don’t have to repeat nodes.

      @@fatherofgames9239 thanks! That's what I thought.. the rules are kind of unclear in alot of areas sucg as the wandering monster since you can tell where the monster card is in the echo deck. I wish is was a little easier to follow. I'm sure there's a faq by now.

    • @fatherofgames9239
      @fatherofgames9239  2 роки тому

      @@Resoxin no worries, yea i agree the rulebook definitely leaves a lot of unanswered questions for sure, I find a lot of the rules you have to just do what makes the most sense when they’re not answered In the rulebook unfortunately. For the wandering monster cards I just look away while I’m shuffling them to risk seeing what card I’m gonna draw.

    Is the amount of gold you get, the number of coin symbols or the Roman numeral?

    • @fatherofgames9239
      @fatherofgames9239  2 роки тому +1

      It’s the number beside the gold symbol they’re not Roman numberals though usually just a 1 or a 2

    Thanks for this video! Would you happen to know of an app to use for initiative order? Shuffling the cards each round gets tiring very quickly

    • @fatherofgames9239
      @fatherofgames9239  2 роки тому

      Haha no I don’t know of any off hand, all I can suggest is sleeving the cards to make them easier to shuffle, but I think you’re on to something there, that definitely is an app I’d pay for!
