Hard to believe this wasn't included on some album somewhere! It's amazing! Maybe because the bass line and drums were such a major part of the song, i.e, not a member of A-ha?? Love it! Reminds me a little of Nirvana or R.E.M., but much better! Wow. What a missed opportunity for all of us.
Nirvana are shit & they make nothing but NOISE! All they're doing is following a drug-addled haze in the wake of all the Iron Maiden, Aerosmiths & all of those out there. Naff. Nothing to DO with A-ha. It wasn't included on the album cos it's too good for that old man album. A-ha barely do any B-sides anyway, so it is odd bit still. REM don't do anything loads of groups before them do. Duran could have done this kind of song easily & Alphaville, & then there's people like Kim Wilde who've done all sorts of subjects, especially in the 80s.
@@kalinehm2582 It has been some time ago, but the last albums don't show this kind of things. This music is typical from the memorial beach period, before the fundation of Savoy. Quite logical musically. But yeah, definitly it suits perfectly to a-ha and Morten's voice. We miss this period...
This is a magnificent song, with a unique and atmospheric vibe. I'm amazed it was not included on the Analogue album, its far stronger than some of the tracks on it.
I'll say, that bloody old-man album needed all the help it could get. Just grainy old octogenarian things like 'Thin Blue Line', 'Summers Of Our Youth' & the tension devoid & excitement-free 'Halfway Through The Tour'. Best thing about were the singles & a few other things were all right too, but what a comedown after the kick-start applied by "Minor Earth, Major Sky" album & even more significantly their 1st career-best "Lifelines". Thank God for "Foot Of The Mountain", "Cast In Steel" albums & Morten's own very A-ha sounding "Out Of My Hands" to follow. As "Analogue" was their most disappointing one since the worst parts of "Memorial Beach" & even the immature & daffy & overly-earnest in too many places debut, where again, the singles were by far the best thing on it. Crazy that people hold that up as their best, it was only a start & their follow-up totally outshone it, even if they were dumb enough to make 'Cry Wolf' a single over the 1st two tracks on Side 1! 'Case Closed On Silver Shore' is also too good for "Analogue"-it adds a great track to the barely few extra tracks they ever did over the years. Clearly they never cared about the B-side concept, other 80s people, like Kim Wilde, Sheena Easton & even Roxette did tonnes.
Can't make it out for the life of me how this never ended up on the Analogue album. I'm assuming it was maybe written after the album itself was released. If thats the case, fair enough, I have no gripe. Outstanding song though, especially that ending. A-ha at their very very best !!!
This could have been better with better production. This could have been as bad as anything a-ha made since 2009 if it was done in a more electronica style.
Obra de arte musical, como todas las canciones A-HA!!! 👏👏👏💯😍
Absolutamente 👍🏻
Probably the most favourite a-ha song! The melody, the lyrics, the vocals, even the way the songs ends the very last seconds...

Actually have a lot of a-ha's songs this major bass line and drums... actually it is typical a-ha.

The song of my life. I am happy because of a-ha.
Still dk why they never released this. Kinda slaps, like not even on iTunes or Spotify ??
I hear you. I think it will be on a rumoured upcoming Analogue Deluxe album. Also, Minor Key Sonata hopefully.

@Wesley Bird The A sides were bad enough.
@Wesley Bird Wrong.
