If you get grass fed butter, it actually has a very nice taste compared to conventional butter. I agree, most butter doesn't taste that good and would be gross, but the yellow grass fed butter has a great taste, especially with salt.

6 scrambled eggs with a chunk of butter at 11am
Either a steak, some lamb chops or chicken thighs at 6pm… with lots of water.
I give myself 1-2 meals per week where I just eat whatever I want… usually at weekend if I’m eating out because it’s just easier.

@@EnlightenedTalisman in today's day and age, you gotta read between the lines my guy. The moment you type some stuff in on google, especially regarding health, google is gonna work against you. Politics, health, and science, are 3 of the biggest subjects of blatant government propaganda put in place to fool you. Where stuff about computers and software is much more straightforward. Since we are discussing health here however, while not 100% fool proof, you can type something in on google and add nih at the end, like e.g. "soy sauce nih" and this will provide you results strictly based within the national institute of health(NIH) which will provide more true results within their publications, instead of your normal corrupt government favorites like medMD who lie to your face. As example you can look up cell phone radiation and they have studies demonstrating how it causes cancer, like " cell phone radiation Nih". You can look up how honey bee stings are good for our immune system. "Honey bee stings nih". I suggest trying it and see how your google filters change by adding nih to the end. Maybe look into carnivorous diets on nih and see what you can find. Im sure you can look within the nih and see how soy is not good for human consumption. Another example is they have publications showing higher cholesterol being healthier than the mainstream belief. As i was saying read between the lines, pretend all these articles are trying to lie to you, look up public reviews, see peoples anecdotal stories, see how people change their own lives, that's where the truth lies, and then make it true for you. As i said, adding nih is just a source, a government source being nih is government. Their publications are a bit more authentic and true, filtering out the propaganda, and giving you a bit more of a straight forward understanding. I will warn, the information is complex, and not always easy. I do also suggest skimming to the conclusions often times within these publications as they many times offer a simplified answer. But most of the study and test results you'll find is complicated information and will require studying.

I was keto for a long time and loved it. Felt great 👍 however my sleep and workout performance weren't the best after a while. I decided to cycle keto/carnivore and do 6 months on and 6 months of high fat animal based augmented with low FODMAP easy digesting carb sources (Potatoes, white rice, certain fruits), and it works great. No matter the eating style, high fat animal nutrients are a must 👌 keep killin it SBG.

May I ask why you did not carb cycle for like 2 days out of the week and do carnivore for the rest of the 5 days? Why the 6 months separation between the two?

    • @wondrouslyperish
      @wondrouslyperish 3 місяці тому +1

@@lavanniarajalingam50 Great question. I actually used to do weekly cyclical keto with Mon - Fri being keto and Sat - Sun eating carbs and I found it inefficient. The reason being that you lose out on both sides of the coin. It takes my body about 2 - 3 days to get back into ketosis and burn through the glucose and glycogen in my body after a couple days of higher carbs, so in the end, I end up spending more time than I want to be, transitioning back into ketosis, just to break it again after a couple of days. I have found the most benefits of both styles of eating to be longer durations. Some time of being in ketosis, followed by some time of selective carb intake. I have also tried every 2nd weekend of a 2 week period, having a "refeed" or reset weekend as well, which also works pretty well. It's just that in my experience, switching back and forth so rapidly in a shorter time frame, only resulted in metaphorical metabolic whiplash.

When I first went keto, I lost a ton of weight and for the first time I actually got healthy. But I plateaued for fat loss and wasn't in shape still. Then I found out that I was eating too much fat (which I was burning eating butter and meat the way you are), but didn't lose any more weight because my body was burning only the incoming fat fuel. I also was not fasting at all, eating 3 meals daily. Then I started fasting 33 hours twice a week, and doing intermittent fasting 2 days, and allowing three days of eating moderate carbs (nothing crazy) and I actually lost the rest of the weight, and am in the best shape of my life.

@@nailahdawkinsit's really not bad at all if you're carnivore. no weakness, shakiness, headaches, etc. as long as you ate enough at your last meal before starting, unlike carb eaters who will get massive blood sugar swings that can make them feel ill on top of their bodies reacting to being forced into ketosis. as a carnivore, you just get little waves of hunger but if you ignore them they go away. also, exercise feels amazing while fasted, much better than when eating. i do OMAD every day and go for runs 20-24hrs fasted. i also do 48hr fasts once a month, currently building up for 72hr fasts once every three months. it can be difficult at first because the body will secrete hunger hormones at your regular mealtimes, but it gets easier the more you do it, and it feels better and better too! i used fasting to get rid of some lingering digestive problems after 1yr+ on carnivore ❤

but personally, as a woman in my 20s who spent a decade debilitated by autoimmune issues and had just developed diabetes, going into ketosis surprisingly did not cause me any problems. i was so used to blood sugar crashes that would cause shakiness and faintness from not eating carbs that i expected the transition to be hell, but it wasn't. i just had keto breath for about a week while my body adjusted, and then i felt better than i'd ever felt before 😊 you got this!

😂 it’s not like a random craving that develops just because you’re on the carnivore diet…it’s a conscious choice many make because it allows them to up their fat intake easily without adding more protein. Some people’s health conditions require high fat to low protein ratio. So eating butter helps keep the protein low, while increasing the fat

I’m on two months of olive oil cooked steak or hard boiled eggs. Had buffalo a couple times. But I’m someone who has always been tired, migraines twice a week and brain fog. I feel a lot more energetic and my cognitive ability seems the best it’s ever been in my life. I’m not hungry anymore. I started letting my hard boiled eggs soak in pickle juice. I found eating normal hard boiled eggs hard to eat because they were so dry.
I had blood work done back in December and in April. My glucose and cholesterol are lower. Both of those were on the high side. My testosterone was low. I want to get that tested again to see where I’m at now. I noticed I don’t have an imbedded ring around my calf from
    My socks anymore.
But I thought I would get sick of eating the same thing. But actually switching up the spices makes it taste like I’m eating something new ever day. I’m not actually getting sick of meat. It’s weird but I do crave it. Like I can’t wait to get off work and cook a steak.
But I’m doing good so far. Oh and sometimes I don’t use olive oil. I’ll just cut the fat up and use it to cook in. If it’s cook it right sometimes the fat is the best thing to eat. It’s so good.

Yeah, your skin is pretty much made of saturated fat, so your body needs to receive saturated fats from foods (meat, bone marrow, tallow, butter, ghee) in order to maintain it. Saturated fat is also essential for the production of hormones in both men and women. Cholesterol plays a massive role in hormone production as well. Men who eat less healthy foods high in cholesterol (meat and eggs) have lower testosterone than men who regularly eat high cholesterol foods like meat and eggs.

I do sour cream as a condiment and use heavy cream when I want to make cheese sauce. I also have butter and sometimes good quality milk or yogurt, Try to think of dairy as a condiment or dessert, so you don't over eat it. Many people are sensitive to it and it can potentially hinder weight loss goals.

Mock meat, or do you believe that vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, whole grains, fruits are "junk"? Can you provide evidence to support that?
