- What an incredible visit! Never did I think I would get a chance to film the iconic Beluga in Montreal!
Airbus operates 4 of these custom built A300's which are used mainly to shuttle aircraft parts around the different Airbus factory's in europe to Toulouse for final assembly.
Currently, only 2 out of the 4 A300 Beluga's are in active service as Airbus slowly retires them for the more updated A330-700 Beluga XL. Airbus currently has 5 active A330-700's in operation and another one on order.
This is the very first visit of the Airbus Beluga to Montreal. The aircraft was in Orlando delivering satellites to NASA on behalf of Airbus defence and space. Airbus has a large factory in Mirabel that builds the A220, currently parts arrive on Antonov however there are rumours that Airbus wants to use their Beluga instead.
This was a technical stop for the Beluga as it heads back to Europe; however it was also a useful testing visit for Airbus to see if the airport would be able to handle regular Beluga visits.

Nice catch I saw them flying over our area Saturday afternoon which was pretty epic to see!
Awesome catch Mark! A truly outstanding video. That's one big Beluga. Best....Corrie
BELUGA UGA UGA UGA UGA UGA UGA UGA UGA! BELUGA UGA UGA UGA UGA UGA UGA UGA! lol nice video!
Once again you did it!
Great video Mark.
I knew you’d be there when I saw it on radar! Great catch!
I've seen both the ST and XL in Hamburg in 2022!
Nice catch man!
Nice catch. Myself, I like the Beluga XLs with the Beluga face on them.
