I adore how gentle and slow you are with these precious bundles of joy! Thank you for sharing your experience with the table! I didn't know the product was adjusted after the collapsing incident, but it still isn't worth it. It's a genius product but for $125 added with shipping, and past safety issues... I think I'll stick to my beanbag.
Thank you for your kind words. It was really interesting to test the product and of course I would never have placed a baby on the table if I had any safety concerns. The table is a smart product and I love using it, but yes.... it does come with a price tag :)
Very good teaching video Fenna, thank for shearing, and, plus your way of speaking in english is grate. I'm from Argentina and perfectly understand what your are explaining. So thank again. I do photography since many years, protarture and social. Now getting in this speciality.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the table! I was really curious about it, because my newborn sessions are taking place in customer’s home. I love Paloma SCHELL products. I’m currently using The Mini Round Backdrop Stand and travel size donut beanbag. It is the perfect tool for photographers that need portability, want professional equipment, and of course care about safety.
I used to just have a large bean bag that I got for free from another photographer who just wanted to get rid of it. I used it together with my normal backdrop stand to hang the backdrops behind the baby, but I could never get it to look smooth. Then I got a PVC stand that is a hollow square, with a folding top bar similar to the one on your table above, that you clip your backdrops. I got it second hand from another photographer, and it had the leather bean bag attached to the stand. However the bean bag wasn't filled and that would have been another expense. Since I already had the large bean bag, I put that inside the and it filled it nicely. However that defeated the purpose of being able to fold it up and put it away, so I ended up cutting off the pre-attached bean bag shell and using the large bean bag in the hollow space so that I would have 2 pieces that could be transported and stored separately. So far I haven't found a solution that I loved but I haven't invested much money.
I had just invested in a bean bag and its frame when these got popular. I feel really comfortable and safe with my circular system, and I'm already used to working with it. The only thing I like better about the table is that it is foldable and you can save space in your studio when not in use (I have very limited space in mine,) but other than that I rather use my bag, I can even use it for sitters, I wouldn't try placing an older baby on these tables. After all, there is one less thing to worry about, I can't imagine myself thinking about this whole safety issue during my sessions.
I still feel that the company didn't resolve the issue with the product. If you have to tie your own wire on the hedge, it means that there is still a risk of the table folding and the company didn't address that?
I read that the new tables include S-shaped hooks, so those should fit in the little wholes. I didn't see them in the package, but maybe I missed something
Hi fenna! I remember the interview you did to the photographer using a diy table may i know her name or the link to the video. I'd like to watch it again. Thanks!❤️
Do you like the round stand or a rectangular surface better? I bought the rectangular stand for the beanbag and I’m wondering if the circular is better for pulling blanket tighter
Love the idea, but way too expensive..I made my own same structure using a dog bed with a collapsible back for easy transport.. spending a total of $40 😃
@@FennaPhotography Can you tell the dimension of the flokatis you use the most? I know the come in all sizes, and prices :) tx!! totally love your artwork, I'm always happy when you post a new tutorial!
Thankyou so much i have been deciding whether to get this table ! I am definitely getting one now! You should get a promo code from Paloma Schell ! Xxx
Love your corduroy trousers! :-) I've actually been dying to ask for a while if you can share where you got your dark green corduroy trousers/pants from, they look similar to these! Love your videos Fenna, thank you x
Thank you! They're my favorite pants and from Pull&Bear. The dark Green rib flared one is from America Today, It's so comfy and a bit more like leggings. So great when sitting on the floor during cake smashes and sitter sessions.
supper sad that you delete comments that are useful to you about this table. As a photographer and artist that i was follow longer that 2 years its really sad to see it.
I don't think I showed support. I objectively tested a product designed for newborn photography, which I do occasionally. Initially I didn't know this happened and I've used the Paloma Schell Classic stand happily for quite some time. When I became aware of what happened after they launched the first tables, I felt that it would be good to address this. If I supported the company, I would have ignored anything bad happened and just praised the product. I just explained how it was a fault in the first version of the product and how the table I have is a newer and improved version. I mentioned that the company should have responded in another way and I actually supported how the photographed tried to warn other photographers. The safety and comfort of the babies we photograph is the most important. They should have never blamed the user, but instead warned all the buyers, taken back all the already sold tables, apologised deeply and send them an improved version as well.

Your setup sounds great. I know many photographers who use pvc stands.

Just here to ask what speed light you are using? Absolutely stunning work you created :)

Thank you so much 😀
Oeps

What kind of fabrics do you use
What size is the yoga ball
Anytime you want to get rid of extra frame and bean bags, let me know 😉
£700-£800 for this Quality...Nah.
Hmm... I don't like the angles and the lens distortion. I hope you go back to your beanbag frame .

why support this after what happened?
the company was horrible and blamed the user

I wouldn’t risk it, you shouldn’t have to make your own paper clip safety tool shocking.
