In the general-soldiers scenario I can only imagine myself being the most confusing general ever.
"You, soldier"
"yes sir?"
"Your shirt is ruffled, strip down till you are wearing exactly what you are currently wearing."
"Alright sir...*doesn't do a thing*... done sir."
"Well done soldier."
"Now then, all of you, drop down and give me minus 1."
"But sir, that is impossible."
"No it isn't" *does a single push up*
"But sir, that is a regular push up."
"No it isn't, instead of going down and then up I reversed the motion."
"Erm..sir, did you remember to take your medication today?"
Or maybe something like Monty Python's how to defend yourself against fruit sketch and bring some raspberries or bananas.

The Sexy Brutale reminds me so strongly of Umineko no naku koro ni. It's a very good VN with similar themes and ideas, and too good to spoil.
Not sure if you guys have played it, but Stories: Paths of Destinies are very similiar to what you said you'd like to play - short playthrough, snipets of story revealed in each one, tens of endings and various paths to take through the game. Although the game is not very fancy with mechanics, it's tone and paths to the endings, or "I wonder where this choice will end", really stuck with me.
Those theater experience stories are blowing my mind. I'm going to try to search for some stuff down here in Brazil!
I think "The Drowned Man" was one of the best experiences of my life. I ended up going 3 times and had totally different experiences in each. Several actor interaction scenes, some of them solo, others by maintaining the stare as Matt says. Love how you can get lost in the layered detail. Now is a trip to New York worth it just to see "Sleep No More"? Probably yes :)

The Constructor models are truly, truly nightmarish.

Wow, a very interesting episode among a series of interesting episodes! A stride was hit here... strode? I don't know. Interactive theatre is exciting and terrifying. Combining it with some sort of game would be aces, and not like a LARP, but like something better than that.

Yeah, The Sexy Brutale is mechanically very weak. The puzzles are not much different from puzzles in old adventure games. Use object x with object y. I really liked everything else though! Quite disappointing. . .
