Here in Singapore it’s cloudy and +33C but it feels like +40C. Without clouds we would melt. Humidity here is higher than in Cambodia so this feels like being in a steam bath.
Greetings Mr. Cheep! Long time comment troll, first time watcher of your uploads... Oh crap the neighbors knocking on my door, got to go now.... Thanks, great stuff, Cheers and Best Wishes!
Very enjoyable vid. I was there the first two weeks of April. It was so freaking hot. I showered about 3 times per day. I'm so glad to be back in West Central Florida where it's cooler than Cambodia...lol
Great video Ryan. Totally agree with you when it rains here in Cambodia its soooo nice. Met you both briefly on the walking bridge in Siem Reap during new year festivities!
To cool down without air condition, it is better to soak your shirt with water and evaporated with a low fan speed. The ancient Egyptian and the Phoenician in Arizona used to sleep with wet sheet before air condition was invented. Although Cambodia is a little humid but direct evaporation from the wet shirt on your body will cool your body down significantly.
Ah the pampered life of a foreigner in the land of the endless summer. Mate you've got another month to go before it gets real hot and the big storms start. The weather lately has been unseasonally cool with a few lovely evening storms bringing in some nice air. Using AC when the weather is this nice, mate fans are the way to go and watching a thermometer hmm he must be a real newbie. Mate you'll talk yourself into being hot.
The KoC has a tropical climate with a high peak temperature in the spring season but local people are used to it and the drop in temperature in fall is quite pleasant to enjoy it !!
AWesome D.I.T.L. I'm surprised that you don't adopt the "lunch-time or mid-afternoon siesta" approach that many hot countries swear by. Heck, even I have a daily siesta even though I'm in the UK! Have you considered or tried siestas in the past?
Hi Ryan and Sarah……I’m home in Canada, but yes….when I was living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Siem Reap, Cambodia…..always checked where the fans where blowing at the little mom and pop restaurants. Wanted that fan on me ha, ha, ha. But in my apartments, I never turned on the aircon….. in order for my body to be acclimated to the climate. (It would take between two to three weeks suffering in the heat to acclimate..after arriving in south east Asia.). Take care……I hope I can return to that part of the world while I’m still alive. And this time to stay and live there. Have safe flights and happy travels…. 😃 🌴 🌴 🌴 👍🏼 👏🏼 ✈️ ☸️ 🙏🏼
There is a cool town in Cambodia. It is called Sem monorum, about 6~7 hrs from Phnom Pehn near the border of Vietnam. The temperature is lower due to its high altitude!! Many Cambodians have survived without even fans for the last thousands of years!!
Speaking of coffee...Is it possible to get Keurig machines and coffee pods (k pods) in Phnom Penh? And is it possible to have screen doors made so that you can open the doors without worrying about letting bugs/mosquitos in?
I brought my mates over towards end of April and boy was it 🔥 (38 but feels like 43 😅). Im still here in Battambang for another 2 weeks working on a tan 😂. Must be the hottest year so far?
Hi I’m thinking of going to Cambodia for the 1st time , Specifically Phnom Penh My main concern is NOT GETTING SICK ON THE FOOD😭🙄, WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO ME as far as eating out? While I’d like to try a little street food I’m EXTREMELY NERVOUS ( DONT WORRY IF I GET SICK I WONT BLAME U)🙄🤣 But seriously how and what should I eat there , In all fairness do you think Mall food is any better ? Or maybe stick to cheap restaurant food. When is the rainy season ? I’d like to go also to Siem Reap however I read it’s far from the capital but need to take a plane which city do u think is better or should I visit both ? I was MAYBE thinking about moving here considering it’s super easy compared to other countries Even though my top two countries I want to move may be Very hard to move to due to many factors. I’m hoping I just don’t get robbed while visiting there🙄Even though I’m tough and very street smart well u get it I also know the capital is more expensive to live but if I have the money I don’t mind BUT I’d like to live where there are nice safe parks and trees all around me as in PEACEFUL LIVING PS… I’m NOT into the party seen🤪 And I would need to get around very easily especially within walking distance to a Grocery store is CRUCIAL AND A DRYER IS CRUCIAL IN MY APARTMENT OBVIOUSLY A WASHER TOO🤦🏼♀️ And is it possible to get an Apartment from $500 to $750 with ALL Utilities included? Do they have Decent hospitals there? So what do u think about the food situation THANK UUUUUUU
Oh my god. Every time I try to find your account I always type the name as "smelly feet on the cheap"💀 too many times to count atp I'll just rely on the algorithm to take me to your videos
Smelly feet?! Itchy feet is an expression that means you have the urge to travel. Smelly feet might be true for me, but we don't talk about that on the channel.
Is there anyway I can speak to you about Cambodia? Just wanting a bit of advice. I've currently been in Saigon the last 4 years. Do you have an Instagram account?
I sympathize! I can't stand the heat and at 26°C onwards, I am tired, also have nausea, headache and sometimes dizziness. When I was in Cambodia, could make only a few visits (even between November and January), really frustrated.
NAS wanted to change over from imperial as metric is interconnected eg 1m cubed of water = 1 tone. The question you should be asking is why the hell is American still use such a useless archaic system and claim to be the greatest country. NAS decided it was too expensive to change over.
We're bitter cause it was a pain in the ass to start using, and it was only more difficult cause most of our media comes from the US and they were too lazy to adapt. So now I basically have to know both, just cause one country is scared of change. 😡😠🤬 Like I said, we're bitter.

Flavor Flav vibes there! The sweat certainly trickles where it shouldn't in weather like this.

"I love the rain, here she comes again" as Ian Astbury sings in the Cult song Rain. Great song, cool video! 😀

Definitely one of your more hilarious vids lol! Cheers
Saw you a few weeks back at coconut park
Drinking wine probably.
Seems like Cambodia is a lot like Thailand (where I live). The heat takes some getting used to. Staying hydrated is always a good idea.
Great one Ryan!

Yes, I remember. Hope you're well. Maybe bump into you again one day.
Thanks for the video !
Giant thermometer round the neck like an English flavor flav.
I just found a bunch of old Flava Flav episodes that I'm slowly going through. It's insanity in the best way possible.
To enhance your fan to blow cold air, you place a bowl of ice water in front of it. Very hot hot

I would agree with Ryan here, lately Cambodia has been even warmer than Singapore, and it's like really really really hot, even compared to Singapore
This doesn't make any sense. Singapore sits near the equator.
