- It is FM23 Rebuild time and this weekend we travel to Germany to rebuild Schalke.
Following some severe money trouble, Schalke was relegated from the Bundesliga a few seasons ago only to bounce back the first time of asking.
We take charge of the club as they enter back into the German top flight with the goal of adding another Bundesliga title to their trophy cabinet and restoring them as a European force!

I have always made content throughout my professional career, however, it has always been for someone else. In May 2020 I decided that it was time to create something for myself. Football Manager has always been a game that I have loved so wanted to take this opportunity to share some of the tips and tricks that I've learnt!

Assan Ouédraogo is class. Didn’t expect him to be so consistent and became world class player in just a few season. Cost me £52m but worth every penny.
3yrs into my Schalke :Dfb Pokal Ouedraogo worth 76m, brought in Santi Gimenez for 7.5 mil . 71 App 75 goals absolute bargain!
5 years into my career with Shalke, finally cleared the 200m debt. Assan and Paul Wanner are the stars of my team, stole Paul from Bayern on a free which adds to the rivalry.
Tough career as Bayern have raided as usual, Moukoko up top etc... still haven’t won the title
Wanner is a fantastic pick up. Wanted him in this save but Bayern wanted too much. You will get there soon, it’s super tough to overthrow Bayern!

Bit nuts buying Trubin for 19m out of 25m available , specially considering u can bring Nubel back for 6 and u have Yusufu and Podlach in youth teams somewhere , Yusufus stats don't look much different then Turbins 2nd season, just mentals, n should have kept S.Sane , that's what make it fun , keeping all schalke academy trains players n bringing back the ones they were forced to sell

Die Knappen! Just found your channel recently, but this rebuild content is the best UA-cam FM stuff right now!
A few suggestions from me for possible rebuilds: 1) Saint Etienne, pretty obvious but a relegated giant in a top 5 country. 2) Wisla Krakow, one of Poland's biggest teams currently in the 2nd division. 3) Deportivo, just because it's a travesty that they're still struggling.
for a future rebuild i would reccomend 1.fc nurnberg
they have won 9 bundesliga titles (i think) and 5 DFB pokal (i think im not sure)
they are now a top team in 2nd division and last time they were in bundesliga was 2018

I started a game with them just yesterday
I would recommend my team, Werder Bremen. 4 Bundesliga titles (as well as 7 times runner ups), 6 DFB Polkals and are ranked 3rd in the all time Bundesliga table behind Bayern and Dortmund as well as having regularly qualified for Europe, winning a cup winners cup and finishing as runners up in the 08/09 Uefa cup/Europa league. However they have recently gone through some hard financial times and in the 20/21 season they were relegated from the Bundesliga for the second time ever and the first time since 1980. Thankfully, they bounced back first time and are looking to survive relegation and irl are actually doing really well and on the verge of Europe. In my opinion a really under rebuilt club as I have not seen anyone rebuild them which is surprising considering how big of a club they are and they possess the infrastructure to become a domestic and continental force.
Sorry I just realised that you do have a Werder Bremen rebuild from fm22, I just did not see it.
2 quick questions I’ve wondered you’re simulating during a rebuild.
1, do you do your own training schedule and hire your staff behind the scenes? Just didn’t know how much you bothered with it when doing these simulated rebuilds.
2, does the AI use your own custom tactic if it’s the only one you have built? I ask because I’ve done simulated seasons with a 4231 tactic and when I go into the data hub, I see that my most used formation is a 442. Not sure if that’s a bug, or if the AI is ignoring my tactic and using something else that it feels is better for my side.

I wanted to rebuild schalke again after i did a 20 year save with schalke in fm 21 and one of my most successful saves i ever had but I'm just too busy rn, this video could give me some motivation on starting all over again

I feel like there's way more people doing Schalke than Bremen somehow, considering they have a very similar trajectory over the past decade.
Bremen are on my list for sure. They will get a rebuild this game cycle

i litterqlly done this and got sacked on the 4th season as in first season i got 6th so conference league football and then won it. third season my 2 key players left Juan jose macias and taigo guievia due to realese clause and then signed kudus who was terrible and then signedvidovic who was meh as a celtic fan i tried to favourtise larson but he had no composure infant of goal hahah. Anyways great vid as always mate. :)

I’m getting football manger 2023 this week when it comes , going to be starting off with my team Tottenham, to get them wining trophies again, as our owners are trash. Maybe rebuild lens as they are second in the french division one .

These rebuild videos. Do you actually play the game each season through or do you only handle the transfers and then just simulate a season?
So I take care of transfers, tactics, training, staff. Then holiday to certain points in the session. Usually 1st January and then whenever youth intake day is.
