Personally own & love the music edition (my current avatar) 😂 I believe it’s the first three hander no date & super light since titanium. It reminds me of Winamp the GOAT MP3 player & always evokes strong reactions since it’s design is clearly polarizing. Limited to 500 pieces in titanium 250 in ceramic & believe only 100 gem-set models. Music edition aside also dig the blue perpetual calendar for its uniqueness. Why did they do it? Three words.. because they can!

I get Eric's point about the multi-colored equalizer dial looks like it was designed for the music industry. Upon further inspection, I think the dial is HALF done. Meaning if they would have done the entire dial in multicolor finish for the dial, unlike the equalizer pattern featured at 2:22, I think I would go 'WOW". Same for the jeweled version featured at 2:41. The bezel using jewels looks fine, but the dial should either be with no jewels, OR make the dial full pave (using jewels instead of diamonds).

Re introducing old models to me is frightening I know the manufacturers don't care for reselling But if they keep bringing back old watches how do you put money in a watch hoping it's gonna go up or at least hold value and the new one comes out and just tanks what you got. AP continues to lose right for it’s position among the “great three”! Fortunately CFO, whom is the reason for this, is leaving the company soon. I had an AP dual-time 36mm, one of the last produced, but sold it earlier this year, just because I couldn’t stand the style of the watches AP produces currently. Maybe it was a mistake, but I had it for 10 years and it served me well. Black Panther was the most disgraceful edition AP had in its history!
I think Eric settling down and getting married in 2022 has matured his young outlook too fast. The world thinks of AP as a one horse rodeo as in the Royal Oak. I think the black bezel, black band, with a blue dial is AP trying to break out with a fresh design. Ditto for its all blue watch design. Just like Cartier did with its Tank Must line, and JLC with its colored dials on the Reverso. Let's give AP credit for thinking of bringing in new buyers while still making its classic Royal Oaks for old men like Eric (just kidding). I would have to see the new designs on the wrist, but I applaud AP for its efforts. The real question is will any of these models be available to try on at an AP boutique?
I am a producer/musician and find the new AP horrific and childish. Rubber clad is crap and doesn’t hold up well at all. No one wants a older Rubber clad even at a discount. Are they really for real with this weak crap design??? In general AP as a brand is lost and way out of focus from their buying demographic. Ever since the “Black Panther” it felt like AP was a cry for help and too needy looking for me any more. Its aimed for a guy that doesn’t know his own personal style or doesn’t have any style???? Blue ceramic is dope. You just don't get it, but maybe you will in a few years when it's discontinued. Alt.. maybe you want to increase your chances to get one :) this would be the equivalent of short selling watches .
I don't get why people get so fired up about this. Not every watch needs to be catered to you. If it's not for you, great, there's a ton of other configurations that suit your taste. If they turn out not to sell (and of course they'll sell), they'll be retired.
If you’re aware AP isn’t made for the grey market, you’ll see the market they are promoting too. Not scraps. If you attend more than watch events and attend runway events you’ll see why these pieces were released.

I only see one explanation: the current charismatic CEO « FHB » is leaving AP in the course of 2023. Now he is doing what he wants and is taking advantage of some misunderstandings and disagreements among the members of the Board of directors. The Chairwoman is leaving as well and will be replaced by a non-family member. With the arrival of the new chairman, the power of the new CEO will be reduced. Consequently, I bet that AP will be focusing on more regular models in the next years.
The rubber on the rubber-clad will oxidize over time. Now with the gold rubberized bezel, the replacement will be (god help us) +5k USD. You throwing other service related expenses, the carrying cost for the rubber-clad will be very painful.
Sometimes brands spoiled their own image. The most recent is the “Moonswatch” it’s like a cheap nut. Luckily I don’t own that original speedmaster. I own a submariner & thankfully Rolex didn’t & hopefully not do such a stupid thing.

They're tacky and corny it's something I'd expect from Jacob & Co. ... It def takes the brand down a notch or two in my opinion. If Jacob & Co collaborated with Hublot this is what I'd expect. The black one is the only half decent one they did this time around.

Blue is a difficulty colour to achieve in ceramic watch making. Pigment is added to achieve a blue colour but at the same time it can be easily burnt so temperature control is important. Also, it could affect the structure of the ceramic. Ceramic is a complex process requiring many decades of R&D. You ought to do some research before you run your mouth buddy.
I am a musician and I agree the Equalizer is not it. They could have had a music approach much better. I love the white and black ceramic APs but the Blue truly is not it! It gives me swatch bioceramic vibes.

I am a musician and I agree the Equalizer is not it. They could have had a music approach much better. I love the white and black ceramic APs but the Blue truly is not it! It gives me swatch bioceramic vibes.
AP is feeding off an specific Demographics that references them in almost every SONG! This is who they are catering to. Patek on the other hand has NOT sell out yet. Will see.

Nah, they're still trying to build momentum on the 11.59 line. Focusing on a new line would be giving up on the 11.59. There's literally a Hodinkee article from 9/29/2022 "AP's Code 11.59 isn't going anywhere. After three years, the much-discussed collection is just now hitting its stride."
