First of all, I want to thank you for the great video that helped me a lot. My settings were really bad before. I couldn't hit obvious hits, I got really annoyed and angry... I lost many matches and I can say that I was the culprit in the key moments. I recommend this video to everyone to follow step by step and you will get an Ultra clear picture, much more FPS and I believe that the game will be much more interesting for you than before.
I personally run 1.3x with the UI scaling mod and my biggest gripe is it won't make the bottom left corner element bigger. So I have to stop looking at the game if I want to see if something's broken in my tank. I wish UI elements could be modified in-game like a lot of games do. Guild wars 1 did it like 20 years ago, I don't see why newer games can't do it too.
Hi! Just to add you can just set the Extra Effects Quality to "Low" if you want to disable exhaust smoke, wreckage smoke and the tank destruction effects while maintaining to having the shot smokes and explosion effects being enabled :)
I'll definitely remove wreckages' smoke - it annoyed me several times already and somehow I've overlooked this option. But tanks explosions is something I like. :D Thanks for video, it'll come in handy later, when I reinstall mods.
Hello max, i got a question about the UI scale. I am playing on a 27" monitor and my resolution is 1080p. I've set the interface scale to 0.5 as you said, but it was way too small in general, and it was getting too distorted. I tried again setting it to 0.85, tried it in game, and when i receive damage the notification from where i've been shot and with what rounds doesn't pop up on my screen. Is it possible to be fixed?
Thanks for the great info mate! Anyone else have this weird issue when upscaling-downscaling, there is no indicator while on battle when you get hit (or block a shot)? Thanks in advance.
Lol I just searched on reddit what to change for ui scaling because I switched from 1080p 24 inch to 1440p 27 inch. And then your video hits. Wtf your timing bro
I play on 1080p and when I reduced my UI Scale down to 0.75, all of the text in the game looked slightly fuzzy, and not as clear and defined anymore. That really put me off, but I'm not sure if it's just because a 1080p panel doesn't have the fidelity to scale down as well as 1440p+ panels do.
I have intel i5 12600KF EVGA RTX 1070ti silent gaming 32GB of ram and i have 250fps on 1080 but i play on 1440p and fps drop to 110-150 because its 2K resolution
Thanks for the video. Is it possible to lock the garage to 144Hz and on the map to max 180Hz for example? I read something it’s possible in the engine_config but I don’t know how
Yes, if you install the mod I showed, it will create an engine_config.xml file under res_mods/*version*. In there you can change the garage and game fps caps.
@@M3ttbro3tchenyes, there are 2 frame rate caps in the .xml file one is called maxFrameRate (i think) and that is the maximum frame rate in battle, there are actually two values with this name, one of them is for the in-game web browser and another one is called reducedFrameRate and that is the one in the garage
Max please help, if I edit the item in the preferences.xml file to a different value and then start the game, the scale does not change in the game. Then when I open the preferences.xml file again the value is 0.000000. What am I doing wrong. I haven't installed any mods (not even the ones you recommend in the video), Thanks for the answer.
Max, I solved it, before you start configuring the file you must first do the following steps: 1. Launch the game 2. Open Options then Graphics Settings and set "Interface scaling" to 1 (not auto) 3. Hit OK button and exit game

Fantastic informaiton. I modified my settings, and it is much cleaner and better. More enjoyable to play now.

Protip: The interface scale line will not show if its set to auto in the game settings. set it to x1 and the line will show in the xml file
