  • Here's a clip of me at last year's Sun 'n Fun, looking over some of the items they have in their Howard Hughes exhibit.
    Enjoy!

A legend looking at a legend. Kermit, you are making a pretty big mark in aviation history yourself that will remain long after you're gone.

This Man Is So Good... 30 or 40 Years Ago Someone,,, Who Shall Go Unnamed,,, Was "Bad Mouthing" Kermit Weeks... At That Time, Maybe Before "Kermit" Was The Worlds Aerobatic Champion, I Am Not Even Sure I Even Knew Who Kermit Was... This Was Way Before "Kermit" Bought HIs First Mustang... As It Turned Out, and The Lesson I Learned,,, Was,,, "Jealously and Envy",,, Are Two Very Evil "Deadly Sins"... The Man Doing All The "Bad Mouth Talking", Was At Best, a Mediocre Pilot"... He Surly Wasn't The "Natural Pilot" That "Kermit Weeks" Was... I Learned a Very Valuable Lesson, """" MOST of THE TIME """" ,,, "Great Men, Make Great Pilots"... The "Less Talented",,, Are Not Only "Less Talented",,, But 90% of The Time,,, They Are Also Sub--Standard Human Beings... Mark My Words,,, You Can Take This To The Bank,,, ,,, "Great Men,,, Make Great Pilots",,, Hoover,,, Yeager,, Anderson,, Steve Hinton,,, Lindbergh,,,
This Man,,, "Kermit da Frog",,, He Is Special,,, "So Very Special",,, He's "Hoover Special",,, He's "Sean D Tucker" Special,,, He's "Howard Hughes Special"...

Love the way you ended this video. This is what history is all about - the people, what they did and how they did it.

Mr Kermit, there may still be an opportunity for the Goose. We visited Mcminneville last year, and they said they're losing money now and the airline that sponsored the museum quit, so it's possible they might be looking for a new home for her.

A radial engined aircraft that could make the Martin Mars look almost quaint. Incredible.

The only proper owner of this airplane is Kermit. Nobody else could give it the respect it deserves.

1:00 He can't hide that he wants that airplane. "It ended up where it should have ended up..." shaking head no. ha ha. I believe him when he says he would fly it if he owned it...for that reason alone they should sell it to him.

The original plan was to fly it, before Michael King Smith was killed. Del and Michael we're going to try to fly it at the mouth of the Columbia River. I volunteered there in high school and Michael had already passed. The talk at the museum was what could have been

I wish Kermit owned it. He'd set it up with 8 fresh R-4360's and fly it to Oshkosh.

Shouldn’t fly it. Can you imagine what it would take to repair the cracked spar? What else is broken that they haven’t found yet.

Hey Mr. Weeks, just a bit of trivia for you; That photo of Mr. Hughes sitting in the cockpit of the XF-11 was taken AFTER his crash in the airplane... How do I know that?
