Thanks for the video. Your results are similar to mine. I never got it to 600fps or anywhere near the 330 or so ft lbs. My best shot with a chrono so far is 545 fps and 290 ft lbs with a 440 grain bolt but the thing about this shot was it was filled into the red zone so over filled (too much into the red and it wont fire at all). Mine also had a bent barrel. I removed it by breaking down the gun and find out the barrel is super easy to bend similar to soft aluminum or lead. I played with it for a while till I got it to roll on a table without the wobble. I purchased a chromoly tube to put in its place but its just a tad too thick, I need to have it machined down so the bolts can slide over it.
Like you said aluminum arrows/bolts because the carbon ones will burst. Several of mine burst as well as it will shoot out the insert the tip screws into on both types. These are all made to be shot from a crossbow not airgun so some steps should be taken to make sure your bolt inserts hold up. All my inserts have been shot out. So a good adhesive is in order. Essentially what needs to happen is you glue the insert back into the arrow shaft and use enough of it to create a wall where the air pressure will hit and not blow out the insert but not so much it wont slide fully onto the barrel. Then allow it to dry with the arrow vertical on its tip so the adhesive settles down towards the insert creating that wall and bonding the tip to the wall of the bolt shaft. Also care needs to be taken to not get glue on the wall of the bolt shaft which will prevent the bolt from sliding back over the barrel. Glue at or near the insert only. My first attempt was the 2 part epoxy jb weld. It didnt hold up. 2nd attempt is por15 (paint yes i know but this stuff bonds things together so well) which has good self leveling and settling characteristics. So far the por15 holds the inserts. Crazy right? I have some so figured why not? If you ever had some get on the lid of the metal can and try to open it days later you are going to need to rip open the can.
This is a good candidate for a regulator to get some consistency. My shot strings never saw a bell curve but a steady decline in FPS. 22 shots and I was still at 300fps with a 440 grain bolt. So it should be able to easily get 10 or so regulated shots at 400 to 450 fps.
For targets I use a bigshot extreme 500 which is great. When the harpoon is max filled a few shots will go just passed the fletching but it stops the bolt and is easy to pull out once the fletching is cleared. This is at 15 to 20 feet so further out should be a perfect target to use.

Thanks for sharing. We didn't have any issues with the barrel, everything was in working order for us. We didn't have to build any more arrows since we had plenty but what you said about the por15 is good info. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

What really angers me is they are longer being produced, unless you go to a particular and only site that says they have them but it’s a lie. They will later state backordered but Hatson does not reply when asked on their site.

I waited three years for mine and just got it and have yet to even fill the tank.
First off your specs are way off on weight, mine weighs in with no arrows on board at 11.2 lbs.😳! That is 2lbs. more than my Weatherby Accumark in 300 Win Mag.
And that is with a scope mounted on it. To top it off there is no sling mounts on the thing, also there is no adapter fitting that comes in box or sights. I’m disabled and wish someone mentioned these thing but no one mentioned any of these facts.
Do I regret the purchase? Not yet, however knowing is half the battle.

All arrow shooting devices (even slow ones) with destroy arrows blasted into the dirt and you did use a really low end (big box store quality block) probably should have got something made for high power crossbows. (BullDog comes to mind) FPS is meanness without the weight of the arrow, my compound will do 316fps with a ultra light arrow. really want one of these but lost me with aluminum arrows, other than FMJ's and big fat indoor arrows (heavy and $30 a pop) I cant think of a semi decent aluminum arrow being made anymore. My interest would be long distance just fun/target shooting with one, 100-150 yards would love to see videos of long range TARGETS (would be 100% moronic hunting with an arrow at anywhere near those distances) surprised this doesn't have a regulator, so you could fine tune power to arrow choice. going to have to do a lot of research on these, so far I am leaning towards another FX

What scope did you use during the testing?

IF IT WERE REGULATED TO USE THE AIR LIKE THE AIR JAVELIN PRO DOES FOR A CONSISTENT SHOT IT WOULDN'T MATTER IF THE TANK WAS FULL . ADJUST THE REGULATOR FOR THE BEST CONSISTENT SHOT ACCURACY AND ARROW SPEED . YOU NEED A TANK FILL DIAL AND THE REGULATOR DIL .

Can you use an air compressor that hooks up to your cig lighter (the kind to fill up your tire) to charge this?
Will the nozzle fit (the kind you use to fill a tire)?
