What a depressingly underrated game. But then again, SEGA made it, so people barely give them any attention anymore.
The cutscenes make for a great sci-fi film. Hell, I would love to see something like this as an actual movie!
The Yakuza series is pretty much the only Sega owned franchise that's alive and well. Here's hoping they make some sequels to games like Binary Domain or vanquish in the future.
@@danialyousaf6456 yeah I’ve been playing yakuza like a dragon, absolutely loving it, and I also wanted to try out “sega hidden gems” which includes VANQUISH and BINARY DOMAIN, which they still made games like these.
If it's by the cutscenes alone this game is a masterpiece.

Man this brings back some memories. I remember the fight with Faye, and my mom walking in hearing me scream "I LOVE YOU" over and over to my TV. Game didn't have the best voice recognition lol
The way this game explorers the concept behind how to make AI grow is quite interesting.
When I tell you I screamed and jumped due to me finding this on steam, I really mean it. This one was one of the many games I binged on as a kid

apart from the unavoidable face-palm moments for dramatic effect, this is a surprisingly good story presentation overall. i cant believe this game wasnt a bigger hit, unless the gameplay really stunk or something.
the useless dramatic close-up on the characters face to end every other cutscene was getting a bit ridiculous tho, but i guess with the gameplay in between itd be less of an annoyance.
The gameplay was alright. It's a platinum game, they're good but they don't sell well for some reason.

Saint Kuro This game has several endings, based on the trust level you have with your buddies. This video is only showing the worst possible ending. There is another ending, if your trust with Bo is very high, he doesn't betray you and then he's the one to sacrifice himself to save Faye, instead of Rachel.
And if you have very high trust with all your buddies, Cain comes back for the final battle, saves Faye and survives the hit himself, i.e. all your buddies, including Bo, survive.
HannesHansen That being said, even in the best ending it feels like Bo, Cain and Rachel aren't really there, the camera shows them just standing there for a few seconds, but they don't really say anything.
I'd almost pay at the movies. a little more polish and these play throughs will be as good as any cinema movie

so after all that, What's the Moral? X-Files had an episode like this, where AI could pass as human, or better except people hated them so they blended into society where they couldn't be hurt, until people realized they were harmless and friendly. But here we see them saving robots they like, while killing ones they dislike, killing hybrids cause "They're Still Robots!!", and saving ones they like. Unless one of the robots does these people a solid it seems their all on death row. Why? what did the boss even do that was wrong? (spoilers) //// He wanted to save his life, so like anything alive so fought, and then he went on to make life, strategically inventing machines to improve society. plus the nuke strike was Very out of character.

What i mean is that we're made of regular matter. We're no different than anything else that exists except that the structure of the matter in our body allows us to function the ways we do.
We may not know how to, but we are not incapable of putting matter together in a way that would function the same way.
If we did do this, than our creation would be sentient. It may not be capable of breathing, eating, sleeping, or so forth, and it would be contained to known parameters, but it would be the same as us.
The fact that we don't know everything about ourselves does not make us unique or special.
Amada wasn't harmless, he helped set up an oppressive government in Japan, committing terrorist acts in the process, and he was at least indirectly responsible for the attacks on high level officials like Bergen by the hollow children. Not sure if that was something he planned or not. As for the reasoning of the anti-hollow children hybrids, it's more just a knee-jerk prejudice than any logical thought. It's easy for us to see it from a rational perspective, since we don't have to live with sentient autonomous beings that can disguise themselves as human. And the story says near the beginning a lot of work is done by robots, so there's probably more people like Dan who grew to hate them, perhaps looking at them the same way some look at immigrants that take low-wage jobs. Plus there's always religion. Many people consider this creating life and like playing god, so that's automatically enough for some people to despise the idea of life-like artificial beings, or anyone who's the child of one. There's other reasons, like president saying they don't need any more racial tension. It certainly would complicate things, and be easier to just sweep under the rug. Also, there's the aspect of Amada saying they're superior in many ways to humans. Being told they'd become obsolete would probably make people more paranoid. It's probably various forms of fear that mostly lead to the resentment to hollow children and even their offspring. Wow, I wrote a lot off the cuff. What a nerd.
+ChristlicherKrieger3 but just because people may dislike them, for religious or "racist" reasons, that doesn't equate to a moral.
If I remember correctly I asked what the point of this story was, since there doesn't seem to Be a logical reason to dislike the robots. The ones that went after that cooperation were seeking revenge on the people they thought had augmented them in secret. They were Scared, and angry.

I stopped playing this because this game is so buggy. again and again it cannot detect my nvidia gpu to the point I give up. anyway, the story is so cliched. I feel like I am watching a typical hollywood movie in a video game form. mass effect on budget, kinda.
