Why the robot guy went to him in the first place?

Thanks for your comment! In Binary Domain, Cain, the French combat robot, joins the team because he is sent by the Amada Corporation to assist the Rust Crew in their mission. His advanced AI and combat skills make him a valuable asset. Initially, Cain is programmed to support the team, but there are moments in the game where his loyalty is tested.

@@AtorrGamer cool, but im talking about the one with the gun that tore his own face screaming why????????

The "robot guy" you're referring to is a Hollow Child, a type of advanced humanoid robot that was created to resemble humans so perfectly that even they are unaware of their true nature. The reason this robot went to the character (presumably the protagonist, Dan) and tore off his face while screaming "Why?" is deeply tied to the game's exploration of identity, humanity, and the ethics of creating life-like machines.
The robot was living under the belief that he was human, with emotions, memories, and a life similar to anyone else. However, when he started to realize that he wasn't human and was actually a machine, it caused him intense existential distress. The act of tearing off his face and screaming "Why?" is a manifestation of his confusion, fear, and desperation. He is essentially asking why he was created this way, why he was made to live a lie, and why he can't be truly human despite everything he has felt and believed.
If you have any more questions or need further clarification about the game, feel free to ask! :)

@@AtorrGamer he didnt go to his actual creator in japan, but instead went to the american version, injured and such? Why

The Hollow Child's journey to the American branch instead of his actual creator in Japan reflects the complex nature of his programming and the game's narrative. The Hollow Childs are designed to mimic human behavior and emotions, but they are also programmed with certain directives and instincts.
The robot's decision to go to the American branch, even while injured, could be influenced by several factors:
      1. Memory and Identity Confusion: The Hollow Child might have had implanted memories or programming that led him to believe he had a connection to the American facility. This confusion between his implanted identity and his true nature could have driven him to seek answers or refuge there, even though his actual creator was in Japan.
      2. Directive or Programming: There may have been a specific directive or hidden command in his programming that caused him to head toward the American facility. This could be part of a failsafe or an automatic response to his discovery of being a robot, leading him to an alternative location where he might receive help or maintenance.
      3. Desperation and Instinct: As a being who believed he was human, he might have been driven by desperation and the need to find help as quickly as possible. The American facility could have been the closest or most accessible option in his state of distress, leading him there instead of Japan.
This aspect of the game touches on the theme of autonomy versus programming, showing how even advanced AI can be conflicted between their human-like emotions and their robotic directives.
