      Steven Page has one of the most distinctive voices in the industry. It just makes me happy. Can’t wait to see him out this Fall 2018 on tour. I’ve missed those pipes.

    I've seen him do this song with BNL live at least 10 times but never this stripped down. I got goosebumps just watching the video, I can't imagine how you all felt in that room during this, all up close and personal. Incredible. Just WOW.
    Even tho Ed seemed to be the voice of a good number of BNL's radio singles, Steven was the voice of BNL to me. After 30 live shows over about 12 years and amassing a good size collection of BNL stuff - music, shirts etc - my husband and I both sort of froze our BNL obsession in time in 2009. Everything we loved was with Steven and they will never be the same to us without him. ☹

      I haven't listened even once to BNL since he left. The uniqueness of his voice just can't be replicated and without it, BNL simply could not be the same. Even during all of my years of obsession since college onward, I didn't even really like the Ed songs as much.

    Steven sets the mark! I challenge any modern "singer" to step away from the mic and sound exactly like they do in the studio, like he did.... will never happen. Modern music is abhorrent. Page is a legend!

    This is one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen. I've been a bnl fan since the early 00s. Seen them 3 times (the few times they came to the UK) and they never sang this. The last time I saw them it was without Steven Page and they'd lost they're soul In my opinion. Never been to see them since. Seeing this live would have been a pinnacle of my life. Thanks for uploading.

    He broke everyone's heart leaving BNL. But unlike other front men who leave successful he still sings all the old songs people love. I don't know what venue this is, but I can tell you from my own experience, singing with no mic like that is incredibly talented. In the 1950's Bing Crosby was performing and the mic went out, and he then stepped forward and belted out his song to the crowd. He used his vaudeville experience to do it and it made headlines. To hear SP do this like it's nothing shows just how talented he is. Amazing.

    • @aggcards
      @aggcards  7 років тому +5

      It was at Stage One in Fairfield, CT and the mic was working just fine, but he knew the audience was going to keep quiet enough for him to do it. I doubt I would have taken a video if not for how cool I knew it was going to be once he put the mic down. Great moment.

      I can understand that because for the longest time I didn't listen to either after the split. Last year one of his concerts popped up on my fb newsfeed so I went and I'm so glad I did! I will be seeing BNL as a foursome for the first time in October and looking forward to it. I'm sure they will be great as well, and I actually like that we can still see two separate, completely different shows that have similar music.
