Ron and I went on a smallmouth fishing trip guided by Marcel on Lake St Clair in the fall of 2018. Despite the moderate wind, three of us were able to catch plenty of smallmouth bass, with the best 5 weighting just over 25lbs! That day I caught my best smallmouth weighting 5.84lbs! I did not do the best job telling the story of how the day went, but this video pretty much sums up most of our catches.

Any issues with the bass that were in with the perch and walleye? I had two rods out just messing around last year and caught a perch and a dink bass back to back... That perch tore it to shreds while they were in a net together, I assume with its gills flared out. Just curious
No issues at all. They were friendly lol.

Nope, all fish were fine. I think we fished as shallow as 9 and as deep as 25.

The trip took place in late fall. It's frozen over right now, unfortunately!
