@rithmus Thanks...judging from the size of some of the files on the Jomox site that seems about right....*but* those sample lengths only make sense at 32kHz....
Hi ya,Dont go mad,...Iwas saving up for the Jomox ,bout 2 Sequential Curcuits synths and a Korg Minikorg700 and was all set to buy,but had a change of heart and bought the Suite8 version onLive8 with i think 6 drum machines included with the Arp2600 drum package thrown in for free with shitloads of astonishing synths and awesome sounds Was hankerin after a prophet5 and there is my dream sound in Suite8 thats completely IT i swear. So listen out world Als' about to rock ya!lol Cheers for askin X
Nice would be really cool if someone could show us a demo of the range of sounds that each drum module can achieve by tweaking around with all the knobs
Nice demo. I've used the Airbase99 for a couple of years, then sold. Now it's time to buy one again but the 888 sports a sequencer and knobs for real time sound tweaking which the Airbase99 doesn't have. What about kits? How many kit can store the 888? It's very important to me a huge kit memory... many thanks!
Lovin the vid! Could you tell me ..Just about to receive a Pro One SCI a minter i believe,i need a drum machine ,been looking at all from MFB ...to DSI Tempest.Just heardthe Jomox 888 and love it ,looks ,sounds everything just what i'm after.Would i be able to sync the Jomox with analogue synths easily? Your advice would be greatly appreciated Thankyou .Best wishes.
@rithmus Thanks. So do you have to chop your own sound to be 32K samples before you send them to the 888? What is the limitation for the other sounds? (clap, rim, closed hat etc.)
Nice demo! Question...the rides cymbals sound a little 'choppy' - in stead of dying out they seem to abruptly stop. Is this the way the 888 handles it's samples or is it how you programmed it?
well... tempest is not that much more expensive. I had tempest for 2 months now, and what you get for it is like getting a Jomox 888 AND 999 at the same time as you get freakin 6 analog voices!!!!! for the price, love it. But i still want a Jomox 999 (aswell) :) .
Sure, but I'm in Norway, it's going to be quite costly to ship to the US, so I would rather check ebay if I where you, but if you are really interested let me know and I'll send you an email.
I have a hard time understanding why anyone would want to go with a hardware drum machine these days when we have great things like Ableton Push 2. I know this video was recorded many years ago, so I'm not talking to the channel host. Aside from Elektron boxes which have very interesting live performance features, I just don't see the point in owning hardware drum machines anymore, and I've owned dozens. The Push 2 does it all... and people who talk about "ANALOG WARMTH!!11" are fucking brainwashed.
great demonstration... now I know I will buy one...
Thanks!!

Cool video. Wish someone would do this for the 999

Sounds good, upload some of your stuff man!
@rithmus Thanks! I've looked all over the web for that kind of info and the've managed to hide it quite well.
I now own both, for features id go for the tempest, for sound...Jomox especially kick and snare. My preference.
the quality looks excellent, this machine kick more fat than the spectralis look like.

Did you get the Jomox? It's easy to synch, very good machine!

@hankvessel
Yes it takes 10 years, better get cracking
You can buy it from jomox, or you can buy mine, where do you live?
Yummy :D

The DSI Tempest kills this thing, but it's a nice sounding machine anyway.

It smells like troll in here...
What you're essentially doing is comparing a BMW to an Aston Martin... Everyone already knows the Aston Martin is better.
You best be joking...
microtonic
Seems overpriced.. would rather buy tempest or ni maschine
Buy a guitar !
